It's been a while since I've placed a reasonably substantial order with TRSI but decided to take advantage of their holiday sale. As a Canadian, I need an order of $250 USD to get free shipping and I managed to top out at $251.94

A sigh of relief that my Paranoia Agent BD Steelcase + Plush Funimation order came in.
Silly me, all this time I was calling it a "Maromi Plush", but on second look, it looks like it's always been called a "pillow"... but it kinda sucks. It's just got stitched features, ears that resemble black socks and a couple floppy nubs on the bottom to represent feet. The "arms" are stitched features. Mine came with a loose thread on the ear. They never sent me a shipping confirmation. The order never showed in the orders section, and, of course, when I tried to ask if they could give me a tracking number via a new support ticket, it was ignored... because they had already "answered" one support ticket (that ignored my actual issues) no others were accepted. email replies were unanswered and when I decided to try Chat I found that the help section for orders was closed. Wow... avoid the Funimation Shop if you can. Absolutely horrendous. Although they did send me a link to a survey to rate my experience... I didn't give all zeros, but it was close. |

Holy crap, that's a lot of Christmas money! Must have been fun placing that order.
I haven't placed the order yet, but I got a $50 Amazon Canada gift certificate for Christmas. I plan to use it to pick up the only two Ghibli movies I don't have on Blu-ray yet: Only Yesterday and Porco Rosso. With the money left over, I'll order Saga of Tanya the Evil Light Novel 2, but I'll have to throw in some of my own cash to get it as well. |

Won an auction for Animeigo's release of the Kimagure Orange Road movie, I Want to Return to That Day from E-Bay last night. I had been wanting to snag up the movie over the past couple months to go with my snag of the TV anime from a while back. But sellers were gouging the price for it and Discotek had the film bundled with the OVAs, which I didn't take too as positively. So did have to wait a bit for an opportunity to get the film separately and at a reasonable price. Seen the auction posting just in its final minutes and decided to take the opportunity to bid on it.
