Blue Lock Unveils Season 2 Title and Key Visual Ahead of October 5 Premiere

Los Angeles, California (August 18, 2024) — Today, BLUE LOCK unveiled the key visual for its upcoming second season titled “BLUE LOCK vs. U-20 JAPAN”. The new image features the main character, Yoichi Isagi, dribbling up the pitch with his latest teammate and captain, Rin Itoshi, against Japanese prodigy Sae Itoshi and his teammate, a new mysterious player, Oliver Aiku. The 14-episode season will focus on the match between BLUE LOCK and the U-20 National Japan team, in which the survival of the BLUE LOCK project is at stake.

Alongside the key visual, the BLUE LOCK U-20 uniforms were revealed, showcasing the upcoming season's main cast, including the strikers of Team Z, the allies and rivals made throughout the First and Second Selection, and some new characters whose skills and egos have yet to be seen.

Story:
BLUE LOCK follows the dreams of 300 high school students who aim to lead the Japanese Men's National Team to the next World Cup championship as their ace striker! To become the best, they join the BLUE LOCK project, a high-risk training program where anyone eliminated is forever barred from joining the Japanese National Team. Pitting the best-rising players in Japan against each other, only the most confident and skilled will emerge from this program!

Thirty-five participants survived the grueling selection process and now they face their greatest challenge yet in this ego-driven frenzy, the U-20 Japan National Team! Can they meet this challenge and prove the value of the BLUE LOCK player improvement project?

The hottest battle in history is about to begin, where rising egoists will have the chance to leave their mark on the world of soccer!
