Really hoping all this indicates is a delay out of that financial period and not something more.

Perhaps due to the pandemic they couldn't make an English dub for the game, which doesn't affect me since I'm not a native English-speaker but I know people that prefer to play Persona in English, maybe Atlus doesn't want to repeat what happened with Persona Q2 for the 3DS. On the other hand, maybe they think there is not an audience for a Musou x Persona game in the West.

I've talked to multiple people with inside knowledge about how the gaming industry works about this, the good news is, it's likely even less than just a delay. Essentially, these fiscal reports are done for the sake of shareholders, who just like to get definitive news, so if a studio doesn't have any updates on a certain project, they're better just leaving it out entirely. Essentially, the game is still likely coming over West, but they didn't have any updates on the scenario for shareholders and left it out of this report for that reason. |

I'm not too worried about it. I've been seeing news reports lately about various Japanese games that have been quietly delayed since working remotely slowed things down. There isn't necessarily a problem, but things are slower than they would be. Bravely Default 2 officially announced a delay out of 2020, but it was pretty much assumed that it wouldn't make a 2020 release when it was almost November and they didn't have a firm date.

Yeah, I think it's still inevitable that they'll be bringing the game over, but various reasons are just making it take a little longer.

Sega's already trademarked "Persona 5 Strikers" and the copyright info in the demo even refers to it by that name. It's not a question of "if," but "when."
And if anyone still feels paranoid, well, now you know what it was like to wait for Etrian Odyssey V. |

It'll probably still come out, but after how long it's taken without even a release date, I'm really glad I imported it.

I could be misinterpreting, but this comment from Soejima sure makes it sound like active development didn't begin until last year.
So don't expect it for another few years. |
