Edited: I sincerely apologize for my last post which now that I look at it was rather vague and contradictory, I wasn't really thinking...obviously, I hope I managed to be a bit more thorough this time
So I was sitting here watching Wolf's Rain with my friend and we got into an argument on who was better: Kiba or Tsume? Well the argument itself was never really resolved haha but we did come to one conclusion that Crispin Freeman was amazing, I've always really admired his range and abilites as a voice actor and how you never get the same exact voice from him, plus he does so many different characters and extremes thats its hard to believe its the same guy sometimes, such as a nonchalant high school student when he did Kyon from Haruhi Suzumiya to the deep foreboding voice of Alucard in Hellsing, which was probably my favorite voice from him so now I'm curious, who is everyone's favorite voice actor and why? What's your favorite anime that they worked on?

My favorite English voice actor would probably be Crispin Freeman too. He's got a great range (I loved him as both Alucard and Togusa, and they're like totally opposite characters), and he seems to genuinely care about his work and put a lot of effort into getting his characters just right. I also highly respect Mary Elizabeth McGlynn and Travis Willingham, the former for being able to voice act those computers that say stuff like "confirmed" or "alert" or "hello, Lain" perfectly, the latter for....All right, I guess it's purely a fangirl thing :p
Still, I'm not much of a dub person, so I've got far more favorites in Japanese, chief amongst them being Paku Romi. I don't know what it is, but I just love the distinctive sound of her voice; it's low and a little rough, but still softened, unlike the voices of many other women who mostly voice act boys. Paku-sama can sound downright sexy sometimes. She also has a decent range of characters, from Edward Elric to Haraken to Osaki Nana, and is extremely emotive no matter what role she's in. I could fangirl on like this for hours, but I'll stop there.
I also love Hayashibara Megumi, who has more than proven her ability to voice act absolutely anyone, Koyasu Takehito for roughly the same reason (and he does bishounen so well!), and Neya Michiko, who has mastered the art of sounding scary and adorable at the same time. Her singing voice is beyond cute too.

Haha no I agree, I loved Travis Willingham as Iggy in Ergo Proxy and I also wholeheartedly on every level agree with Paku Romi, just personally I have a lot of problems with Edward's voice in the dub, there is something so grating about it to me, I don't know but I love the original Japanese and Osaki Nana has to be one of my favorite voices of all time, its so deep and melodic yet rough, it makes me wish my voice sounded like that haha

I usually watch my anime dubbed and my favorite voice actor would have to be Luci Christian. The first time she really grabbed my attention was as the voice of Duck/Princess Tutu in Princess Tutu. She just brought such a sweetness and life to her character and after I saw it I started looking for other anime that she was in simply because I enjoyed her work in Princess Tutu so much. I also think that she does a fantastic job as Tenma in School Rumble she does "cute/sweet" so well.

For Japanese VA I love Aya Hirano because of the personality and energy she can put into her characters. For English VA I like Vic Mignogna because he can convey all types of emotion very well and he just has that coolness to his voice, which really helps with characters like Kurts Weber. I'm also partial to Jessica Boone because of her incredibly cute, but not overly cute, voice.

Looking in the encyclopedia would tell you this. Or even using Google. To sum it up: he's in a lot. Now do your own work.
Anyway. Crispin Freeman is one of my favourites too. While I admit he doesn't change his voice all that much between characters like others out there do, I think his acting is pretty amazing. I fell in love with him as Fuuma in X, because of how perfectly he was able to change his voice between good and evil Fuuma. I also love what I've seen of him in Wolf's Rain, though I have yet to see the speech to Toboe's dead body which I hear is one of the best parts he did (and I read an interview with him where he said it was one of his favourite scenes to do...he also said that Tsume was his favourite role that he'd done to that point).
I also am a big fan of Chris Patton. He is awesome, especially in Welcome to the NHK! One of the things that has had me most worried about the whole ADV thing is that the dub might not be fully released and I want to hear more of it. I also thought he he was great as Sasame in Pretear and was very amused by the interview with him on one of the DVDs for this series.

My favorite Japanese Seiyuu for male character would be
Daisuke Sakaguchi, his from the series Clannad and Moyashimon.
Although most of the characters for me sounds the same, I was entertained and got me curious whose the voice actor for Sunohara (Clannad). I find his voice entertaining and unusual,
I really don't care about voice actor, but for the first time I was curious to know who did the voice of Sunohara. I watch most of my anime in Japanese language so I don't have any for the English Actor.

Haha I apologize that was an extremely lazy question and after looking it up, I feel bad for even asking, saying he is in a lot is an understatement

I also like Romi Paku. I think her voice is somewhat versatile because she can play different kinds of roles.
I didn't like Mamiko Noto before, to be honest, but ever since I saw Ichigo Mashimaro where she played Ana Coppola, I instantly became a fan. Her voice is just so soft and soothing, and the characters (Kotomi Ichinose from Clannad, Shimako Toudo from Marimite) she play are so ladylike and proper.
There's also Mai Nakahara. I really loved her role as Rena from Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. I loved how she can go from cute to scary in a second. Very cool. She's also pretty and attractive.
For the male voice actors, I like Tomokazu Seki. He too can play a variety of roles - From Chichiri of Fushigi Yuugi, to Ryuki of Saiunkoku Monogatari to Shuichi of Gravitation. He's kinda funny too - I saw him on a show once and he sort of demonstrated his dubbing prowess in front of a live audience, and he just made me laugh.

Gah, so many. I really want to just list Aya Hirano, Yui Horie, Rie Kugimiya, Mamiko Noto, and about 20 others, but it'd be against "Teh Rules" (But I guess already just did.)
I'll give a proper explanation for some of my tops.
Yui Horie: Hocchan's just such a versatile and cute seiyu and great singer, often singing the OPs for many of the anime she appears in. She actually voiced my first favourite character, Kotori from Da Capo, and she handled it so well, cute yet mature, and serious when needed.
Mamiko Noto: Her voice can portray a variety of emotions, and the little raspy undertone makes any of her characters so moe. She also portrays the quiet or shy type of character very well, (Hecate, Yakuma, Kotomi) and can do more upbeat characters as well (Shiho Matsuri, Ana Coppola)
Rie Kugimiya: She's pretty much only here because chibi-tsunderes are the best thing since sliced bread was considered the best thing. Yeah, but her other characters are also always very cute, and I find it interesting that a woman in her late twenties can do such a kawaii voice.
Marina Inoue: Overall, just a great seiyu, and catchy singer. She can do a variety of different voices like Aya Hirano (who I was initially going to list, but as she's very popular now, I'd expect many other people to say her as well.), the upbeat, almost genki characters that can be soft and reserved if needed.
She doesn't do Konata, though .
Tomokazu Sugita: He's just a fun voice actor, always bringing a bit of comic relief with a voice that was made for sarcasm. As Rin, Yuuichi, and Kyon he also lightened the feel but could also speak in a reserved and caring tone when needed. And the mindreading scene of Pani Poni Dash! was amazing(ly funny.)

I'm sure there was a topic like this one before.
Well, I haven't seen many series in English, so I won't talk about American VAs.
In Spanish, my favorite dub actor is Benjamín Rivera, who dubbed quite a load of characters: Dimando from Sailor Moon, Ichijouji Ken from Digimon 02, and my personal favorite two roles from him: Misaki Taro and Wakabayashi Genzo in Captain Tsubasa J.
In Japanese, it's very hard to decide who is my favorite seiyuu, as heck, most of the ones I know are very good. However, my overall favorites are definitely Suzumura Kenichi, Seki Tomokazu, Ogata Megumi and Sakamoto Maaya. These four, plus a very long list of actors, are my favorites.

Amongst English VAs I'd consider Laura Bailey, who is one of the most talented and versatile English regulars, but must ultimately go with Colleen Clinkenbeard. She spends as much time ADR directing as acting these days, so her acting resume isn't quite as broad as some other prominent English VAs, but I have never heard her give a mediocre performance, much less a weak one. She also contributed greatly to Eclair from Kiddy Grade being one of my all-time favorite anime characters. Other prominent roles people might know her from include Rose Anderson in Solty Rei, Hawkeye and Rose in FMA, Esther in Trinity Blood, Misako Kurata in Kodocha, Mitsuki in Rumbling Hearts, and Luffy in Funimation's new dub of One Piece.
I am far less familiar with seiyuu, but if I had to choose one it would probably be Aya Hirano, mainly on the strength of her MoHS performance, her naturally ebullient personality, and how damned cute she looks.

Thanks, Key. I almost forgot about Laura Bailey. As an actress she has impressed me greatly with her range. She can sound cute and innocent in one show (Fruits Basket) and in another show she can sound sexy and seductive (Full Meta Alchemist)

I like voice actors who can do a lot of different voices, so that they can work on serious animes and funny animes. Like Mamoru Miyano (Death note - Light, Ouran HS Host Club - Tamaki Souo, Wolf's Rain - Kiba, E7- Moondoggie) I also like L from death note, Kappei Yamaguchi who also plays Inu Yasha, Usopp from One piece, Rokuta from Twelve Kingdoms and Ranma
