Uh, that sounds more and more like we'll eventually be waiting for a fan-patch to restore any edited/cut content from the Japanese version. And this isn't even a R18+ novel...
Just recently we got that happen with Baldr Sky. Thankfully we also got the patch days later, literally. The group behind the patch caught wind of the edits early, and organised an effort in preparation. The patch restores absolutely everything, and perhaps a bit more.
The offender in that case? Sekai Project. If sources are to be believed, it wasn't Valve that forced the censoring to happen...

I'm not so sure about that, Valve is known for not allowing anything even remotely adult like to be distro'd by steam.
And Honestly if that is the case then release it on GOG or some other platform, I still would want a physical release.

It wasn’t Sekai...They even released a statement about how they pushed for as little censorship as possible. It was the Japanese company themselves that wanted to cut stuff (for some reason).

Well... At least it seens like the translation's finished? So, well, we'll just have to wait for the catfight to end eventually.
