Finally an anime focused on Boruto's father, Sarada's father and Shikadai father!
But what about a anime focused on Boruto's Grandfather?

The anime "Naruto" kind of did that. Forget about Minato. I would like to see a canon anime focused on the Sage of Six Paths and his role in the Narutoverse.

It was announced a long time ago, (december 23rd), during the Jump Festa.

Shikamaru Shinden was pretty well done, so looking forward to that at least.
I think it's a good decision to give the parents and their interaction with the kids a bit more focus in general (not just Boruto's dad). That IS the big drawing point for this kind of generational sequel series after all.

We were aware that a flyer at Jump Festa originally announced this, but our staff at the event were unable to get ahold of the flyer. We only report on news once our staff are able to confirm it directly, so even though attendees posted the flyer online, ANN didn't report on it at the time because we couldn't confirm it firsthand (any official Twitter accounts for the event and the Naruto/Boruto franchise didn't mention it either during the event). Our staff, did, however, confirm the news firsthand in the issue of Jump out today, so that's why we reported on it now.

Is this about adjusting to parenthood when the kids were babies, or just stories from the dads' perspectives during the Boruto timeline?
In any case, should be interesting. Most of the parent-child relationship writing has been strong in Boruto, IMHO.
A little sad that there are no novels about the moms, though. Especially Sakura--she did the heavy lifting there (and she still works outside the home...)

Naruto may not be as good of a father to Himawari and Boruto as perhaps he should be, but at least he has been there for them more than Sasuke was for Sarada.

Hopefully it means this arc will finally end. So tired of it.

I agree about Naruto. I was just saying that I'd love to see a book from Sakura's perspective, but there doesn't seem to be one. Heck, I'd like a book about parenting from Orochimaru's perspective! When did he decide to have progeny?
