Is this another Pop Team Epic situation? I didn't realize this was an Aniplex title.

Aniplex continues to be the smartest content creator and company...why make your own streaming service when you can just put your show on every service and get a cut everywhere.
Can only assume their banking on this anime becoming the next Shingeki [it wont]

PTE was the result of the licensee agreeing to a non-exclusive license, which meant multiple companies could purchase the streaming rights. This is more an example of Aniplex casting a wide net in order to get as many eyes on their show as possible. They did something similar with Kill La Kill, and they also put a lot of their shows on Amazon when Anime Strike was still a thing.

I think it will explode in popularity like Attack and Titan and One Punch Man.

Aniplex also recently started streaming SAO on Funimation of all places. I wonder what the chances are of Promised Neverland being on Toonami. It's funny how we went from assuming this would be an Amazon exclusive to now this show is literally everywhere

No they aren’t. They just want to maximize profits and viewership. The marketing and promo haven’t given me any indication that they’re aiming for that goal.
The manga is already very popular so all it takes is a push from a good adaption and things blow up quickly. There’s hardly any other shonens like it either at the moment so that will also help.

As lossthief pointed out, Aniplex has always been willing to let pretty much all the streaming companies have their shows subbed. Just a matter of people willing to pay, and in this case I'm sure they are.
I actually wouldn't be surprised if AoA was more aggressive this time- I've only read the first 5 volumes from Viz, but the manga is phenomenal. I'm sure they're hoping this is one of the next big things.

I'd love for this to be huge, but I unfortunately don't think it will be as big as those shows. Based off of source material it deserves to be.

That crease on the stage left guy's shirt in the thumbnail makes it look like he has massive moobs.

Unless the anime adaptation is bad, if the manga is as good as people say it is, I'm not sure why it wouldn't be at least as big as something like Black Clover. It wouldn't make sense for Aniplex to be putting this much investment in it if they didn't think nobody was going to watch it.
