Rightstuf's in-stock sale! Since I am a member, that does stack, so I tend to use these sales for some of the smaller publishers or things where I can't make a free shipping order on its own (or I just really really want it), so, after reducing the list by a LOT, I finally placed an order (once I realized it ends tonight). So I was using this to also fill in some gaps!

Aoharu x Machinegun 8,9,10
Dimension W 9
Dreams of the Days
Land of the Lustrous 6
Moteki 2
My Boy 2
Silver Spoon 1, 2
To Your Eternity 6

I was skeptical on My Boy at first too (the description really makes it sound like pedophilia with older woman/younger boy), but thankfully, it is not romantic in the least and it's not creepy from that.

Went out today to a few Half Price Books on our trip to different Boston Stores (trying to see if I could find a mannequin while they're approaching their store closure; luckily that worked and now I have one I can try and do sewing work on!). Picked up:

Anime:
Baccano! Complete Series DVD with Artbox - They actually had this marked as just the Volume 1 Starter Set, but actually had all 4 discs. For $18 - given Aniplex's pricing on it - it was worth picking up.

Manga:
The Earl and The Fairy Vols. 2 and 4
Gakuen Polizi Vol. 1
Alice in the Country of the Joker: Circus and Liar's Game Vol. 2
Kamisama Kiss Vol. 12
- This is actually to replace the volume I already own, but the cover was cut wrong.

Baccano! has been ridiculously price gouged so be happy you grabbed the entire series at a great price!

I blind bought Night Raid 1931 because it's going out of print!

After enough consideration, decided to take the plunge with getting a Crunchyroll subscription. As I now own a car that will likely eat up my expenses quite a bit, methinks I need to reconsider my options with seeing anime since physical releases are quite costly with many distributors, hence jumping into Crunchyroll. The site's not perfect since they don't have every anime under the sun and some titles are under different streaming site rights. But between having a more reasonable data cap with my ISP and only $7/ month for the subscription, think the setup is more manageable for my expenses than spending a couple grand on physical anime releases a year.

Boogiepop Phantom DVD set
A release that I found to be a bit disappointing, at least by Rightstuf/Nozomi standards. Not so much the show itself, but the fact that the transfer is still the same VHS-dump used for the original single DVDs in the early 00s. (It's easy to tell from the hardcoded sign subs and the references to "this tape or disc" in the ED credits.) With other shows like Lost Universe and Space Pirate Mito, they've been able to use the clean OP/ED or original JP credits, with softsubbed songs/text where the old releases had hardsubs.

Got lucky and picked up Tales From Earthsea on DVD at Goodwill today. While I haven't actually seen it before, I wasn't about to pass it up for $1. Especially in good condition! Had a few smudges and scratches, but nothing that should affect playability.

Today seemingly was anime day though. Found many volumes of the Astro Boy and Naruto manga, a Muk keychain from the old Burger King '99 promo, a cute Pikachu plushie, and a Fairy Tail shirt with Natsu front and center (the last 3 things I did buy; manga was mostly random volumes, and on a personal level wasn't worth picking up to add to our collections). Also found a copy of Metropolis on DVD, but it was missing the actual movie and only had the bonus features. Unfortunately, wasn't worth picking up in this case. Still, was an interesting Goodwill trip to see as much anime-related merch as I did.

Utena BD 1-3, yet another surprisingly agreeable eBay snag. I did consider the SE, but I’m not made of money nor a super-fan. The on-disc extras seem plenty satisfying anyway
