LOL with the anime fandom pretty much wanting action it doesnt suprise me he wants to get threw it as fast as posible.

No complaints here. In my opinion, this arc sucks, and dragged down the manga. The only good thing about it is Kenny and the big revelations later on. Can't end fast enough for me.

Honestly, I didn’t really notice the rapid pacing when I was watching the Season 3 premiere, but I’m glad that he decided to request that. I really like anime that have rapid pacing.

Seconded. It seems to be a sketch for the cover of vol. 26 of the manga, and there's things in there I would consider significantly spoilery for the anime-only crowd. |

I will have to agree with Isayama’s decision. While a much needed arc (whether we like it or not, the secrets of the political powers within the walls had to be addressed eventually), it was sadly a REALLY slow read.
There were genuinely cool and amazing moments! But getting to said moments felt like wading through a mud of expositional and/or political chatter that I barely remember :,) But I’m sorry to hear that during these chapters he felt like he wore himself out... |

He made a good decision.
This arc was very expositional and had so much lore inserted into it so it bogged down the pace considerably. And since this series is serialized monthly, the pacing suffered terribly. But it was a decent arc nonetheless. I thought the premiere episode was perfect. So hoping this consistency is something that continues. |

To be honest I liked the manga's pace. Sure it was a slower pace but it allowed the characters to evolve naturally and not feel forced (In a sense). I don't mind the faster pacing as long as they don't skip important parts. They have skipped Historia's backstory (Although they could put this further on), Eren's titan form training was skimmed over. Although not a major point I feel it needed a few little more time, since later on people mind say 'When did he learn to use that ability/ control himself better'. They also skipped a scene with Erwin that doesn't make sense to put after the kidnapping and he needs all the screentime he can get.
Although I have confidence that they will do a good job, I feel like that they rushed it a little too fast. I would have been perfectly fine with Kenny appearing in episode 2 and them not skipping what I feel are important scenes from the manga. |

That was a bad idea. There is information there that can only be replaced in flashbacks. Wanting to accelerate the rhythm just to create a climactic start can be a shot at the feet of those responsible for the work. If they follow this method, it is quite possible for a lot of information to be misallocated and people end the season feeling like something is missing. They must understand, as well with Isayama --- although he claims senseless of what he himself did --- that this bow is much more expository, in the sense of given information, than proper frenetic action with few revelations.
I want to be wrong, but I feel that this season will be a bitter experience for anyone who really wants to understand the plot, and it will be a lesson for the staff and the stupidity of Isayama himself. I really hope I'm wrong. |

Ronnie is sounds like you just set yourself up for a self-fulfilling prophecy. Where no matter what AoT S3 does you will not be satisfied unless it fits your very SPECIFIC requirements on what should be covered and how. Everything you have written reads that you already made up your mind and that it doesn't matter what this arc does, you already decided it won't be enough.
Until more episodes are released, why don't you hold off on already making up your mind. |

Isayama clearly saw an error in his pacing if he’s involved with the expedited pacing of the anime. And since he’s involved in some capacity, I doubt any major story details will be glossed over. The anime staff nor Isayama deserve to be dubbed “stupid” just for taking a chance and switching up the tempo. |

Cool, I thought the pacing and tone was spot on in the premiere (felt like it knew when to speed up and still when to linger some on some slower scenes as well) and it really made me feel the same atmosphere as Squad Levi.
Yeah, I haven't read it but it seems to come up as this arc's flaw enough that this seems like a good idea to try and sharpen it up. I thought the pacing was fantastic in the premiere and hope they can keep it up while still delivering all of the needed info thanks to, as Isayama said, himself, Seko, and Araki all working together on trying to tighten and refine it. I also agree on this being a much needed arc after all of the hints and clues of these kind of maneuverings going on behind the scenes in the previous two seasons.
