I'm guessing maybe another movie, doubt a sequel and I really hope it isn't some game...
We'll see.

A spin-off maybe?
Centers around Simon and Yoko's secret love child maybe?
One can only hope.

I cant see it being anything other than some one off movie or a game. Its already done the whole recap film and a reboot or sequel series (Like the new FLCL) is just unnecessary.

THIS HAS BETTER NOT BE ANOTHER TROLL POST ABOUT SOME VENDING MACHINE.
this does not need a sequal but still since they said it already, i don't want them to pull that ass off again.

It could be a spin-off of Gurren Lagann, as telling the story before the war against the ant-spiral beings, showing the beginning of the conflict and how Lordegenome became the Spiral King. But for that, TRIGGER would have to buy the rights to Gurren Lagann from Gainax, or something like that. I learned that Hideaki Anno had trouble getting the rights to Neon Genesis Evangelion, I do not think Trigger and the creator of the play will have easy lives.
There are endless possibilities.

After Sailor Moon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Cardcaptor Sakura and Digimon, I guess it's time for another franchise to hop on the Anniversary nostalgia-bait train.

I'm just going to guess that it's a console game for PS4 by Platinum Games because what else it could be...I have no clue.

Wouldn't be surprised.

Funny that you mention a number series from 20 years ago in relation to this 10 year old series. How about Code Geass?

This topic has given me an idea for a new poll ANN should conduct:
"The top 10 series you love, but you DON'T want a sequel to".

I doubt it. Even if Gainax were that desperate, they don't have the staff to make it happen..

If Madoka got a sequel to redo that series' ending, Gurren Lagann should have one, no, it needs one. That little snit* turned his back on his family, how is that an ending to a series about the importance and power of family or, when you don't have that, the people you love?
Ok, stand. I'm pointing fingers at you, Attenborough.
It goes wrong before the distant epilogue because there's no way Simon, going as far as he did for vague reasons, should just give up on something right in front of him. He breaks the laws of reality to punch a guy in the face but to saving his wife is not worth the effort?
For the record, the Madoka ending was fine as it was as the series was about the importance of the individual and the choices made. "It's not just about you but what can you do?" Making it about people lessens the power of choice and that choice in particular.

Even if they were to make it, I'd never be able to afford it with Aniplex of Americas prices.
