So, is the fact that the character Manatsu Mukai looks very much like a young Sawa significant, or is it just coincidence?

If at least you don't succeed, try 'Youtube'.

Let's see for a 2:30min trailer we spend the first min and 40 sec. talking about the first 'Kite' and the last few sec. talking about 'Liberator'. Wow what a trailer. I guess, they don't want to give it all away.

Well, we know what to expect. Cute girls with guns, blowing holes through bodies and heads, crazy impossible stunts, action, a plot (somewhere) and gratuitous detailed SEX with the ugliest men with d *Shocked*s the size of baseball bats. Done the only way 'Umetsu' can do it. He's a man that loves his work. He hopes you'll enjoy his new work.

I'll be checking it out. I did like the one episode of Mezzo TV. And I did enjoy both 'Kite' and Mezzo Forte'. But if they weren't so downright "sex messy" I would have picked them up. I can almost understand 'Kite', but even that was a bit much. And 'Mezzo' just threw in whatever excuse to have it. But the action in both films is dead on entertaining. Which is why you don't go into his films looking for something deeper. If you find it that's good if not, it's still a decent action flick.

i don't know... i really want to believe it will be good, but this looks terrible. the designs look significantly worse than the first one (there's a freakig maid! Evil or Very Mad) and what's with the space angle? that just seems ridiculous.

Mezzo Forte was pretty good on it's own. I agree about placing the sex into Mezzo for no real reason at all, but if you look at it, the only 2 sex scenes in mezzo aren't relevant to the plot, so it makes them easy to edit out the scenes and leave the movie as a PG-13 type that can be aired on TV or sold in common DVD stores.

Though, I swear I saw a copy of Kite for sale (w/ a T-shirt) in Best Buy a few years ago.

Aw, I liked the first KITE. I feel that on its own, it was a really interesting film. I find it strange that they're making a sequel but I guess that happens a lot now these days anyway. I will definitely check it out.
