Obuchi is known for her captivating vocal depth and clarity, which earned her the Special Award at the Flying Dog's Inucon! audition. In September, she performed at ANIMAX MUSIX NEXTAGE 2024, a live event showcasing next-generation anime music artists. Thanks to fan votes, she secured a spot at ANIMAX MUSIX 2024 FALL, which will take place on November 23, at Yokohama Arena, further solidifying her status as a standout newcomer.

The single's title track “Saijoukyuu no Kokoro” serves as the opening theme for the upcoming anime I'm a Behemoth, an S-Ranked Monster, but Mistaken for a Cat, I Live as an Elf Girl's Pet, in which she also voices the character Lily. The anime is set to premiere in January 2025.

The single will be released in three editions: a Signed Edition, an Anime Edition, and a Standard Edition. As the name implies, the Signed Edition will include one of ten Polaroid photos (randomly selected), hand-signed by Obuchi herself, as well as a reissue of the photobook Nono-Sanpo, which features exclusive photos taken with her close friend, popular voice actress Yukina Shutō. The Anime Edition features a specially illustrated anime cover, while the Standard Edition's cover will be revealed later.

The title track, “Saijoukyuu no Kokoro,” was written by Enon Kawatani, a member of five bands (Indigo la End, Gesu no Kiwami Otome, Genie High, Ichikoro, and Raisan) who also produces songs for solo projects and other artists. A portion of the song can be heard in the anime's first official trailer. The single will also include additional tracks by a stellar lineup of creators, including Katsutoshi Kitagawa and Fuminsho.
