...why isn't Fairy Tail 2014 being covered? Surely, this one got enough votes...

Fairy Tail wasn't in the poll because we didn't have someone available to cover it at this time. It has to be someone who's seen literally all of the show so far and is available to write it up for us every week. (Just like the case was with One Piece for a while before we picked up Sam.) We're certainly interested in having someone cover it, though!

I'm actually a bit surprised that Valkyrie Drive didn't make it. Sure it hasn't aired yet, but I would have thought people would have voted for it on premise alone.
In any case, all the series I voted for were chosen. That makes me happy. ANN's episode reviews are fun to follow.

Don't worry. When enough interest in it builds up and readers/viewers give it high demand, they'll look for someone to cover it. The same thing happened with Shimoneta. It didn't get into SR right away until the 9 episodes in when demand for it built up. Luckily, Theron Martin was up to date on the show and covered it. So just hope that enough interest comes it's way and someone on staff caught up.
I'm happy Rakudai got in, cheers! I look forward to Rebecca's reviews of it. Asterisk getting in wasn't unexpected and I am curious how the shows' will differ honestly.

I'm not worried, exactly. I doesn't interest me at all. I just found it interesting that not enough people voted.
Though I definitely could see it coming in after it airs, when people are more aware of its existence.

Haikyū!! Second Season, Noragami Aragoto, Comet Lucifer, Concrete Revolutio - Chōjin Gensō. This Season should be good

Let the inevitable comparisons continue (Just saw Asterisk's second episode... Did a splendid job to reaffirm my opinion of being a supporter of #TeamRakudai)

Yes! Rakudai Kishi made it!
And Haikyuu made it too! Woohoo!!
With Seraph and Attack on Junior High, all 3 shows that IG and its subsidaries produced are in the daily streaming review line-up. As a IG fan, I couldn't ask more
I hope all reviewers will have a good time, and I can not express how much we look forward to those reviews every week.

"All's fair in love and war." Very fitting between the two if you catch my drift. I know nothing of Asterisk so between the two from the first episodes, Rakudai is as Theron wrote "An intimate tale between it's two leads". Asterisk appears to be more expansive in it's settings which I can find intriguing.
@Engineering Nerd
The majority of the shows I'm watching this season are all mostly covered. I'm also watching the other LN Adaptations airing. Shomin Sample was funny and AntiMagic showed enough to make me curious to watch it.

Im honestly amazed they got in. Even if you only look at the viewers scores for them on the preview guide they just did average. For that matter im also pretty surprised there were reviewers willing to take them. I may be a fan of them and those types of shows/LNs in general but most of the staff seem to be pretty tired of them. Assuming of course that they were only borderline on the streaming reviews poll. I would be even more amazed if they were actually voted for so much that Zac and the rest decided they had to take them.

Actually I marathoned episodes 2-6 to get caught up once it became clear that there was enough interest to warrant a streaming review. However, I was willing to do it because the concept had kind of interested me anyway; it just didn't quite make my initial cut for Shows To Follow.
Anyway, unless it proves to be total crap, I will be surprised if VD doesn't eventually get a streaming review. A couple of us do have open reviewing slots, after all, and I'm only leery about taking it on because it would give me two titles airing on the same day.
EDIT: And given Zac's comments in the article, I seriously doubt that either Asterisk War or Chivalry was a borderline inclusion. Both got quite a bit of chatter in the Preview Guide thread, especially the latter.
Besides, since the pool of writers for the episode previews is broader than the pool of writers for the Preview Guide, what people will volunteer for (or at least put up with) may surprise you. For instance, I would have been fine doing just about anything this season other than STARMYU.

Yay!
I am so happy! All of the shows I wanted to see covered are being covered, and the reviewers are perfect for them!
I'm really happy Rebecca Silverman picked Chivalry of a Failed Knight - if it is actually good, this will be really rewarding reading. (If not, then I'm sorry to put you through this, Rebecca)
I'm delighted that anyone is doing Utawarerumono, but Hope Chapman also always does a really thoughtful job.
Sugoi!

Shouldn't be a surprise that Utawarerumono was volunteered for; in fact, I'd be surprised if it wasn't one of the more frequently-requested titles. The original series did have a fairly broad following, after all.

I knew full well what was coming this season and I braced myself for the initial impressions because of the LN stigma that's been around. So I just held out some hope that there were like-minded viewers and others interested that Rakudai would get in.

I'm thankful for that. The concept itself was interesting but afterwards it leaned more towards outrageous and comedic which was still entertaining. I also look forward to your reviews of Asterisk. As I said, it'll be interesting to see the differences between the two. A funny and cool thing I'd like to point out is both you and Rebecca are teachers and are reviewing shows with similar premises/concepts.
Edit: Utawarerumono appears to be an alternative/spin-off from the original show. Unless it states otherwise later on it'll remain that way to me. And if it does, then it'll be more accessible to viewers since they won't need prior knowledge of the show to understand it.

Darn, was rather hoping Testament Burst would get picked as the first series had the streaming review. But oh well, lots of quality titles that got added in that I'm looking forward to seeing; Comet, Asterisk, and Utawarerumono being my top 3 (esp the latter).

I'll go out and confess that I voted for Dance with Devils
Love that it's also included in the Daily Streaming reviews. Guilty pleasure of mine.
