OMG! One of my favorite authors in recent years has to have this happen to him. I have no choice but to have to hope what he says is true. Man, this whole thing is ironic, from the theme of his works, economics, to the database song. I'm so sad.

When a creator gets royalties, they might want it all for their selves. I don't know if this is the case or not and this could affect him creating more Log Horizon books.

This is more of a "fine" type thing than anything else. If he is in the wrong he'll have to pay up. Wish US courts went after tax evaders, nope putting pot smoking kids in jail looks better for them.......... -G |

I wonder if this is a case of tax evasion in the common understanding of the term or some sort of tripping over income acceleration rules.
I don't know what "prosecution" means in Japan, but in English common law countries, it means criminal charges are being pursued. What makes you think it's just a fine? |

...and it has to happen with the most unlikely of authors for a case like that.

If it turns out to be some clerical error in their database due to a lazy employee, it would so ironically-funny that it'll make you so sad you'll laugh again.

the question is whether this is gonna be a slap on the wrist or log horizon goes under?
if its the latter then im afraid he has a lot more than the japanese government to worry about

I knew something was up when i found out that 5 manga versions of Maoyuu Maou Yuusha exist (one is even a Champion Red soft-core porno
 ) besides his other stuff.
That dude´s bank account is about to explode (for a light novel author anyway). Children don´t mess with the tax department! That is the only crime even a celebrity can go to prison too. Getting away with murder is easer then f#cking with these people. Good luck? Wesley Snipes! Lol. |
