For the new poll I added Monster. That is such an amazing series that deserves to be fully released. F-you Viz Media.

I voted for Bakuman, because although we got the entire first series here in the UK, the French company who released it in the UK put subtitles on it which read like they'd been translated from Japanese to French, then into English through Google Translate, rather than doing it properly and getting a human to translate it from Japanese to English. Needless to say, the release was roundly blasted online, and the company haven't bothered releasing the next 2 seasons. I was going to buy it but I refuse to spend money on something that's worse than 95% of fansubs.

For the Poll i added Gosick... because well it got licensed by Bandai only for them to shut down before they even release it first and because of that we never got it for the home market....Even if it is sub only it needs to be rescued so we can finally have it.

I really have this strangely strong desire to rescue Zoids, get on it, Discotek! Or Nozomi!
Also: Paranoia Agent! |

I voted for Lodoss, because it has BDs out so rescuing makes a lot of sense to me.

I voted for Urusei Yatsura. A Bluray version would cut down on the number of disks substantially. The Animeigo version stands at 72 disks presently.

Yeah, it might have 7 episodes a disc if you stretch it, those raws are really nice and grainy so they probably chew through bitrate but at least there's no English track taking up space. It's a long show, so it's only feasible to release it in season boxes, which is what Japan is doing.

Where's #2 on the list? Am I the only one who can't see it?

Another fun list.
For me, one of the most striking portrayals of death and the afterlife was in Samurai Champloo, when spoiler[Mugen almost dies. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z76QpjZo6vE] Not sure if this counts as the underworld or not. Thanks for the list! |

Kino's Journey or Paranoia Agent: why don't you just ask me which of my children gets to live?
Hells is just mislabeled. |

I see the poll has a couple things that never did come out. xxxHOLiC Kei can't really be "rescued" if Funi never licensed it.

Maybe I'm misreading the question, but shouldn't Evangelion (TV) be a slam-dunk for the poll?

The fact that Paranoia Agent was never rescued is just an absolute crime. I had to do some extremely deep digging to track down all of the singles for a friend at a non-insane price.
Also "Home for Infinite Losers" gets my vote as the greatest dub edit of all time. |

Um, why is Index on the poll. FUNimation released the whole series on DVD recently.

Nichijou all the way. Higurashi already got two releases; it can stand being out of print a little while longer. (Of course, there is a legal English-subbed release of Nichijou too, but that's a trickier matter...) The other shows that jumped to mind for me (Kaiba and Denno Coil) aren't rescues since somehow neither got licensed in the first place.
