The world looks HUGE which makes even the giant robot looks small in comparison! Are those locales mostly in that planet Mira? I hope there will be some interplanetary travel.
I also would like to think those vine bridges are where the Nopon lives.

Never played a Xeno game before, but now that I have a Wii U I may as well give this one a try. Looks great so far. Hoping it looks even better by release.

Pretty sure it's all on the one planet. The whole story revolves around these people being stranded on a strange planet and starting a new life there while venturing out to explore it. Having interplanetary travel would conflict with the whole "we're stranded" story, unless it only happened towards the end of the game if they find some means to leave.

Xenoblade took me around 200 hours to complete; this one's world is suppose to be either 2 or 3 times bigger so who knows just how long this one will take. Sooo looking forward to it!

I'd tell you to go buy the first Chronicles right now, but you'd likely have to pay out the wazoo for it. Hopefully, Nintendo releases a digital version for the WiiU down the road.

Took me about 200 hours as well since it has large amounts of Quests. X_X
Looking forward to this X game when it comes out in April (doesn't mind if it gets delayed for better polished/bug fixes).  Good thing I bought a Wii U couple months ago.

That'd be nice considering I don't feel like paying an arm and a leg for it. The only problem I foresee is the battle system. I've seen combat gameplay from XCX and it reminds me of an MMO, which has slow and tedious combat. So I'm not sure how I'd feel if the first Xenoblade plays the same way.

It does have some MMO concepts in it's battle system, Aggro and Tanking in particular, but if there's one thing Xenoblade's system is not it's slow. Battles can go from good to bad in seconds and using the right moves at the right time is critical to success.

Unless you can find a copy used at GameStop. They are like $55 there with pro card. I took advantage of coupons and bonus store credit to get a copy.

The problem is that GameStop owns the localization last time I checked. That's the reason there was only ever one or two print runs of the game.

Or, if he happens to get a New 3DS, he could get the remake.

Again, they're doing a remake, and given that Pandora's Tower is coming to Wii U as a downloadable title I wouldn't be surprised if the likes of Xenoblade and Last Story soon follow.
