I was in complete shock when I found this article. To think we won't be able to hear from her anymore

I've only heard one song of hers (her cover of "Dan Dan Kokoro Hikareteku"), but...damn. First Hiro "YYH" Takahashi, now this?

Don't really know what to say. Always loved hearing her singing, and now, it's just no more....
My mind is blank. Just wow... |

Its a shame that her career, nay her life was cut so short. She will live on forever in her music. LONG LIVE ZARD!

It says she fell off the stair landing 10 feet. Did she fall off the landing, down the stairs? Or did she just fall off the landing, to a strait 10 foot fall? If anyone can find a better description that would be great, because as is, it is just plain weird.
Either way very tragic, and very young. I pray for the family. |

She might have been on IV or something, since she was at the hospital for treatment of cancer. This wasn't her first time to the ward either.

Wow she was such a great singer. I remember when I lived in Japan, her CD's were everywhere. May she rest in peace.
BTW, she did sing a version "Dan Dan Kokokoro Hikareteku." It was a cover of Field of View's original song. I actually have that CD and several other of Zards wonderfull CD's. |

I was shocked when I read the article my friend showed me. It made me quite upset, since I really enjoyed her works and voice.
She will be missed dearly. |

It is definitely all of a sudden! One of my favorites of hers was a J-Pop song called "Kitto Wasurenai" (circa 1993). My vocal performances for the remainder of the year will most certainly feautre some of her songs. RIP, Izumi.

I heard about this news this morning. Simply tragic.
I really liked her Makenaide (Zard's most famous song) and Unmei no Roulette from Detective Conan. Rest in peace, you will be dearly missed. |
