I'm a little dismayed by all the CG looking backgrounds and pan shots, but other then that it looks great. Can't wait.

The duel scenes give me jawdrop.
Still have at least another year to save some $$$ until AoA's limited edition release. Definitely not gonna miss this one!
Btw, they still haven't told us which scenario they're going to take, have they?

So, if I want to get into the 'Fate' franchise, is the first anime to watch?

You should be fine, yes.
Though if you want the complete experience, you can start watching the prequel Fate/Zero.

Thank you. Alright then, I'll watch this in the Fall when it comes out.

Don't really get the need for a remake. Especially less than a decade after the first one.

I'd imagine this remake will be more consistent in terms of tone and continuity with Fate/Zero. Seriously, consider going from the latter to DEEN's version of Fate/stay night is pretty damn starkly different!

Yep, but if you really want to get in all this, read the VN. And don't go to Fate/Zero if you haven't read the VN, it will spoil a lot of stuff.

Fate/Stay Night spoils a lot out of Fate/Zero as well. It's much easier to get into F/Z and it playing the game that happens 10 years after the events makes a bit more sense.

The main work spoiling the prequel? Who would have thought.
And no, stay night makes sense by itself if you read the visual novel. Watching Zero first is just the wrong way to do this.

Is Kaijura Yuki composing the music? I really hope so, but it doesn't sound like it though...

Kajiura will never be able to make a good Emiya theme. I hope she doesn't work on this one this time.
Katou Tatsuya (Prisma Illya, Horizon), Kawai Kenji (UBW, Gundam) or even Haga Keita (Fate OST for Vita), they all work for stay night.

Wow, it looks totally amazing even though the CG effect and panning movement looks a bit overused. But it's just a trailer, we shouldn't judge an entire series by a trailer.
I hope this time they make sure that people die when they are killed.

Because the anime adaption was one of the worse VN adaptions out there, that's why.
