Lol the majority of Godzilla fans knew it was going to be much better than Emmerich's Zilla since the first teaser trailer.

That's nice, but I hope the creators realize that I won't be watching the movie specifically for any of those people.

Damnit ANN, I had to put my hand on the screen to block the picture. I don't want to see even a glimpse of the monster before I watch the movie.

The creators don't give two tugs about what YOU think.

I didn't. The picture besides the article shows it too.

I do not believe they do, sadly. I have a feeling this will be like Michael Bay's Transformers where the Transformers are peripheral characters to the exploits of the human characters. I do not have high hopes for the film.

I've been excited since the day it was known a new high budget Godzilla was being made. I hope the Iguana-zilla makes an appearance like in Godzilla: Final wars. Those who've seen it know what I'm talking about :p.

One of these answers paid more attention to what I was trying to say, and is therefor far more helpful to me and possibly anyone else who goes to a movie called Godzilla expecting it to be about Godzilla. I don't think I need to point out which one.
But yes, despite being guardedly optimistic about this movie, I'm very much afraid what should have been a half-goofy/half-serious monster movie will end up being about a lot of secondary characters that don't really contribute much to the chaos trying their damnedest to scientifically explain what is going on, or play up some kind of drama that could have been caused by any kind of major disaster not in the form of a huge, vaguely dinosaur-shaped city-destroying monster that spews radioactive lasers. But hey, maybe I'm the only one who feels like this, in which case the creators do indeed not need to care what I think. It's just a couple of hours (and around... I dunno... 15-30 dollars?) out of MY life.

Totally disagree. If you even get a small glimpse at the trailer that's featured in the article, you should notice right away how much of a polar opposite this film aims to be compared to Bay's Transformers series. Yes we don't see much of the creature and much more of the human story in these trailers. But unlike the Spiderman campaign of 30 trailers and TV spots, I still gladly feel like I haven't had this movie spoiled to me yet. The creatures will all likely make their true appearances in the actual film.
And comparing the human interaction of this movie to Michael Bay's Transformers? Seriously? This seems like a film that's trying to take itself seriously and has attempts at actual emotion from all of the tragic events taking place. All the while Transformers is mostly comprised of crude/sexual/racial gags all at attempts to get the laughs of teenagers in between all of the frantic jump cuts of the high-budget explosions galore.
