"Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie Part 3: Rebellion
Kyoko's Favorite Ramen"

If memory serves... they never showed her eating her favorite ramen... I won't say why but I don't think they would be able to make it...

The Net Lab article says:
Quote:
精霊の守り人 : 屋台のもつ煮込み[motsunikomi]丼、タンダの山菜汁[sansaijiru]

The Anime News Network article by Chris Nishijima says:
Quote:
Moribito - Guardian of the Spirit
◦House Special Donburi
◦Tanda's Herbal Juice

I'm sorry to say this, but it seems that Chris Nishijima has eaten neither motsuni nor sansaijiru.
Actually, 屋台のもつ煮込み丼 is the stewed offal donburi served at the stall, and タンダの山菜汁 is Tanda's soup with edible wild plants.
'汁' also means 'soup'.
Kōjien says:
Quote:
しる 【汁】 ③ 吸い物。しるもの。特に、味噌汁。

中野好夫の言葉を借りるなら、日本語を囓つた外人向きの〈芋字引〉ではない辭書を引くことをおすすめします。

Okonomiyaki, and they immediately thought of Creamy Mami?? Shocked
(How about one of U-chan's, complete with sauce messages?)

Still, nice to see two Cagliostro dishes in there, although it's not quite Lupin's protein-recovery rush.
I was expecting a genuine egg-and-ketchup-anime omelet--with incantation--as now served at the palaces of Eldant.

You're right, I've never actually had either. I knew about motsuni, I just wasn't quite sure what they would call it English. As for sansaijiru, I had never heard of it before. Thanks.

Probably the point is the (odd) combination of the two foods.
In Episode 40 of Creamy Mami, spoiler[Snake Joe made okonomiyaki crêpes.]

Oh that Spaghetti looks great. It would be brilliant to see the huge Persona 4 beef bowl there too. Definitely some foods I would actually buy.

I'd love to see them find some new tasty (and spicy) incarnation of Lum's inedible crunchy-stars from UY. Smile
For those who've always been curious.

And how about genuine Keronian sweet-potato dangos and star fruit?

The only snack product from Lupin I would recreate is the beer snow cones Lupin & Jigen had in the 1998 TV special. I just need shreaded ice and beer and I'm all set.
