I thought she was trying to distance herself from the otaku community as of late. Is she trying to come back after all this time? Rolling Eyes

It's been ages since there has been any news concerning Aya Hirano...
I wonder if Aya has cosplayed before?

Well this is a interesting revelation for Aya Hirano. I'm curious to see what's going to come out of it.

Hirano voiced a supporting character in Nakamura Kenji's Gatchaman Crowds this past summer. It was the first time I had seen her as a voice actress in a while.

I think she got few supporting roles this year. She is not getting any main roles anymore.

Exactly. What's note worthy with this is that she seems to think she's breaking new ground with this. Been away luv? Anywhere nice? Laughing

I wonder if she's gonna return as Lucy Heartfilia in the new Fairy Tail anime that was announced the other day.

Funny how people used to call her the Megumi Hayashibara of the noughties when she really seems to be, in retrospect, the Megumi Hayashibara of 2006.

I don't follow voice actor careers, so could someone clue me up as to what brought about her fall from grace? I have an inkling it might have something to do with the usual notions of 'purity' that plague the business, but I don't want to presume things.

Basically, it came out she slept with her entire band (minus the bassist) and she talked about how she loves sex in general... and thats a big no no for an idol. That essentially killed her career right then, no matter how big it was before.
