As somebody who hated the anime adaption of Chaos;Head, I hope that this will be adapted much better when that time comes.

Seconded. I watched the series a few months back, and every episode had me scratching my head. I finished it purely for the cred. Hopefully this new series will at least make some sense.

The VN was 10x better than the anime. Felt sorry for anyone who watched it and didn't get to experience the VN.

I've been waiting for this, I'm so glad we're getting a semi-sequel to C;H considering there was a big nod in R;N and some questions that needed to be answered. Main the fact the Noah system is still there and the committee is still working on it.
Now we just need the worldline numbers and a date for when it takes place in the sciadv universe.

Pretty much this, I've seen mediocre vn adaptions such as air and so bad it's good like umineko. However chaos;head falls under no-one should ever watch this shit.

Umineko was the worse anime adaptation I have ever seen and no it was not at all so bad its good. Chaos head you can at least tell they tried to adapt properly while umineko they just threw their hands up in the middle of the first episode.

Agree wholeheartedly on Umineko. For Chaos;head, I felt that they tried to adapt it "page by page" of the VN, packing in all the "intrigue" and "development" that a long-winded VN game can afford, only to suddenly realize that they needed to rush an ending as they only had 12 eps with which to work and they'd blown the pacing with all the background building. That ending felt half-baked: the cult was barely mentioned, the backstabbing was barely touched upon and the main villain was, well...you know.
I haven't played the VN. I'm not even sure that "play" is the right word to describe interacting with a VN lol. Still though, I have my doubts that it could avoid the complete BS explanation of the "powers" that the anime had. Did it make sense out of the "we can create matter with our minds (essentially) but in order to do this we also need the seemingly-redundant ability to hack the brains of other people so that they see what we have created, because if they don't see it, it didn't happen?" (Apparently reality and 4chan are one and the same) anti-logic? I wish they'd gone with either just GitS-esque brain hacking or make-matter-with-my-mind as both together failed.
Chaos;head had a great dub, despite some shakiness from Clarine Harp when she was called upon to try and "explain" the powers in the show. I still think that Funimation should have put some commentaries on there, if only the Japanese commentaries.
I am leery of any "semicolon series" after the massive failure that was Chaos;head. A consequence of this is that I will not preorder Robotics;notes.

"Read" would be appropriate. It's already in the name: novel.

Jeez. It seems like I'm the only one who actually liked the Chaos;Head anime. I look forward to more.

Well, I'm pretty intrigued, I wonder how long it'll take for the inevitable adaptation, hopefully they won't butcher it as badly as Chaos;Head and hopefully they'll do better than Robotics;Notes.
On another note, who would translate Rikishi Seal as 'Power Seal'? That doesn't even make sense. If you're gonna localize it then it would be Wrestler Seal or Sumo Seal.

And apparently didn't play (not read) the original visual novel.

I would love to play the game, but to my knowledge it's not available legally in the US. I'm just saying I enjoyed the anime without any previous knowledge of the franchise.
As a general rule, I prefer to watch an anime adaptation rather than a game or manga version. I love games and reading, but tv/movies remain my preferred storytelling medium.

It is available legally through the Play and iTunes stores.
...but it's not translated.

I hope the inevitable anime adaptation isn't shit like C;H. If the pattern holds up, it should be good to great.
