In addition to Apollo's Song that was announced a while back (see more information on the manga here), another manga by the god of manga has been recently revealed. In October Vertical plans on putting out Osamu Tezuka's MW, which you can read more on here as well.

Can't say much on MW other than the premise sounds fairly interesting and it seems as though the art is of the more matured variety from Tezuka that we see of in Adolf and Ode to Kirihito.

Edit: Fixed a link.

Geez, this sounds like The World is Mine Shocked Should be great as expected, but I kind of wish Vertical would branch out and take a chance with some more contemporary material (they must have good relations with Tezuka's estate if they can snap up licences from under Shogakukan's nose like this). Still, I'm not going to complain about more Tezuka being published, and they are putting out To Terra next month which will hopefully sell well enough to warrant more unconventional acquisitions.

I've got my copy preordered.

I honestly can't think of a company I've been happier with in recent times than Vertical. I hope all this does well for them, they deserve it.

Probably less "graphic," though. I also read somewhere that there's supposedly some homosexual relationship; that, or I'm confusing another manga. (I did read that there is a Tezuka manga that goes into that territory that Vertical is putting out, I am confident in that much.) Still, considering the demographic that Tezuka's manga goes toward, I can't imagine that to be a problem.

I only hope at some point they'll have enough notches under their belt to get Black Jack. It'd be the longest series that they would put out, and it might not garner as much attention and praise as Buddha and Ode to Kirihito, but I can see it be successful enough for them.

After reading the masterpiece that is A, A Prime I only can hope for more shoujo/sci-fi genre anthologies/series.

Not to mention that they are reaching out to the "manga fanbase" since To Terra is not flipped and the sound effects are changed, as far as I know. I'd rather the latter being translated, but I suppose I'll take what I can get.

This is the one (I don't know if he touched the subject on other of his works)
