I have a simple question regarding the Japanese voice actor (seiyuu) of the character "Muroto Hajime". If any of you don't remember, he was the one with blue hair that spoiler[beat up the homeless person] and only made an appearance in the last arc, I believe-- Who is he? Muroto was my favourite character in the series, and everywhere I look, it only gives me the name of the english dubbed voice actor.
If the name isn't known, maybe some of you know of other anime the seiyuu is in somehow? I really, really liked his voice, and thought he delivered a lot of emotion~! Thanks for the time. 8x -Sii EDIT: Oops, while I'm here, may I ask what your interpretation was on the ending? This may already be posted somewhere, but I couldn't locate it. Is what happened to Kei written in stone, or is it as vague as I think it is? Perhaps I'm missing something. Anyway, I hear a lot of people complaining about the ending, usually the entire last arc because it was completely straying from the manga, but I thought the ending and the last arc was the best part of the series. Anyone else? Why do people hate it so much? Is it solely because it strayed from the manga, or were there other personal issues with it that I seem to have missed? |

On the left side of the screen you will see a section titled "Encyclopedia." In the subsections you will find a link labeled "Anime." After you take this link you find the "G" section and click once more. Once you're there you find the link that reads "Gants*." Once you click on that link you will be in the encyclopedia entry for this series. If you then scroll down, you will find a section titled English Cast. Here you can see the list of the VA's. If you look for Hajime Muroto, I'm sure you'll find your answer. |

Er, yes, I've done that. I'm looking for the Japanese voice actor's name, not the English, which I've noticed is supplied.
Thanks anyway. |

You sicko..
Not everybody does, you just haven't heard from those who actually like it. There were some threads some time ago....I believe Gantz was mentioned in both "Best anime ending" and in "What's the Worst Ending Anime you have ever seen?"... |

Eheh. But honestly, how could one not like him? He's so interesting! Of course, those with their morals in tact, and strong ones at that, would probably be disgusted so I see your point in commenting such. Yeah, I figured it'd be strongly contrasted. The views on the ending, I mean. I rewatch that very last sequence with the train every day. I really do wonder who Muroto's seiyuu was. |

Problem is, though, the Japanese voice actor for Hajime Muroto is not listed in the Encyclopedia entry for Gantz for some strange reason. That's why Siilent asked the question. Greg Ayers is the English voice actor for Hajime Muroto. I would answer the question for the poster, but I don't have the Gantz DVDs and I don't remember the actor's name. Sorry. |

I'm not surprised you don't have the Gantz DVDs, since they put, what, two episodes per disk? I can't imagine anyone purchasing the series unless they really, really loved it.
I liked it a lot but I'd probably be restricted from buying it because of the rating. I'm a little underage. Thanks anyway, Biliano. It's so strange, though. I can't find the voice actor's name on any website at all. 8x |

The thinpack collections are actually pretty reasonable price-wise. If nobody beats me to it I'll take a look at the credits tonight. |

I ahve most of the series on dvd, single voume. I'll check and see if he's on what I have. I stopped mid-way through season 2 because I got the season 2 thin pack as a free gift at one of the ADV panels at Otakon. |

Hajime was voiced by Mitsuaki Madono.

Wow, pretty impressive list of credits for this man, and he's worked on a lot of solid series as well. I noticed that he's now listed on the Encyclopedia page for Gantz so the matter's resolved. Thanks for researching the actor for us. |

Awesome!
Thank you so much. That is a long list. I vow to watch at least one of the other anime the voice actor is in! |
