Now maybe we can see them get Gunslinger Girl and Aria, too! (And if the Gakuen Heaven manga is as bad as the TV show, I'll be staying far, far away from it, even as a fan of BL.)

Yeah maybe Tokyopop will release some more Jinki too.
ADV Manga = huge failure
They were supposed to compete with Tokyopop and Viz but have never gotten the department running properly. They should get rid of the manga department and focus on anime.

I'm pretty sure it was the original (Shinsengumi) Peace Maker that was announced (or at least it was supposed to be), the series that comes before Peace Maker Kurogane.

Maybe, but wasn't Tactics licensed by ADV also?
Also, the article says Peace Maker Kurogane and links to it in the encyclopedia.

Actually, the article specifically says they are three titles previously associated with ADV manga.

For the series that tokyopop picked up from ADV; will they be starting the series over from volume 1 or will they continue on from whatever volume ADV last released?
O_o; I'm not too familiar with how these kinds of things work.

It's hard to say. When DrMaster took over some of ComicOne's titles, they just started where C1 left off. But there is nothing to say that Tokyopop will follow that example.

Let's hope the TP releases will be better than ADV, for example keeping the colored pages! If Tactics had any, I'm sure they did. I hope TP doesn't change the nice cover, cause I really like it.

Here's hoping that AQUA being licensed means ARIA will get similar treatment in due time, if not from ADV, then Tokyopop.

Seems like a solid group of manga (I wonder if the ADV controversy will help sales?). Wild Adapter could be a huge hit for them despite the title's mediocrity. In any case, smart moves all around, though I can't say I'm interested in any of them aside from Aqua.

Yes! I was waiting for more Tactics. Such pretty art. ADV wasn't doing a bad job with Tactics, though; I hope Tokyopop can keep it up to par.

Quote: | Aqua (the Aria prequel) |
I'm going to do some nitpicking here. The word "prequel" is inappropriately used here. Both a prequel and a sequel are made after the original work. A prequel contains events in the story that occur before the events in the original work, and a sequel contains events in the story that occur after the events in the original work. Since Aqua was made before Aria, Aqua cannot be a prequel to Aria, but Aria is a sequel to Aqua.
