That is really cool, and has to take talent. It is one thing to sit down at a desk and draw on paper; it's another to sit in front of a giant board that is standing straight up and draw on a larger scale. That was really awesome.

That's my impression too....since ya know, BONES has a new sci-fi anime coming up, with Watanabe as the director.
But maybe we are just overthinking lol
still, awesome drawing, seriously brings back fond memories. BONES and Kawamoto ftw~

I don't think there's a better character designer in anime than Kawamoto.

Second that. I always love seeing artist sketch their work. You just stand there watching and you're like "man how do they just know where to put the lines" or "how do they do it?"

When I look at Cowboy Bebop it's starting to have a old school look now considering that it came out in the LATE 90's.

Agreed.

Awesome and still amazing seeing these.

I'd love to see an announcement that he's working on something now that Towa no Quon is over, which was the last thing I'm aware he worked on, quite enjoyed those movies.
