Been hearing his voice since I was just a wee one. Very sad, very shocked, tears are shed.
A collection of Tweets from the voice actors
Voice actor Ryotaro Okiayu (Sima Shi, Sima Yi's son) retweeted the death post by Koei.
Xingcai voice actress wrote on her Twitter: "Lives that go away, lives that are saved, lives that are born. I'm now thinking once again that I must live my life to the fullest."
Voice of Jiang Wei and Sun Quan had a particularly heart-wrenching reaction on Twitter. I think he was probably friends with him: "I don't know what to say. I don't have the words. I can't believe it. I don't want to believe it. There really is no God, is there. I wish for his happiness in the afterlife. Someday, when I go there too, let's do drama readings with everyone, OK? Until then, wait for me a while longer."
Zhong Hui's voice actor Ichitaro Ai said on Twitter: "I want to comment but the words won't come. But I have to say something, or it'll just hurt."
Tetsu Inada, Lu Bu and Huang Gai's voice actor wrote: "When Sima Yi comes out of his ship and laughs loud and says, "You fools!", it really pissed me off (I am technically complimenting him). But my favorite line he said was when he did the role of one of Zhang He's men, and said, "Well... I suppose that's about normal... The way he seemed confused was superb. I'm still not going to wish for your happiness in the afterlife. Because I'll go and see you."
Jun'ichi Miyake, voice of Guo Jia, had a particularly emotional set of Tweets:
"This is a lie, right? What the hell..."
"Please tell me this is a lie..."
"I wanted to talk with him more. I wanted to drink with him more. I wanted to do more work with him. More, more, more... I wanted to go with everyone again and crash his house and eat his amazing handmade food. I love Tsuyoshi-san so much!! Why...
But now I can look forward to meeting him again. I bet he'll be still as cool as ever... When that time comes, I've got to stay on rhythm and make sure I don't laugh. I wish for his happiness in the afterlife."
"As if my feelings would be OK even after tweeting them! Sima Yi, you jerk!! Damn it..."
Ryouhei Kimura, voice of Guan Ping, posted another sentiment on Twitter: "I pray for Takishita-san's happiness in the afterlife. He was noble, and his acting gestures were unconstrained, straight-foward, and unbelievably cool. I will continue to respect you."
And that's all for now. Consider this my tribute to a man who truly made a part of my childhood. Thank you so much. If there are any other tweets, I will post them as well.
