I liked this interview, I thought the person asking the questions would be very timid for some reason, but it was a very smooth conversation. Don't understand why the interviewer asked the translator a question, though. Was he with Shinichiro Watanbe?
[ot] any of you Bleach fans hear "Shingami" in the interview?

To exlpain the sound of this interivew: the plan was to cut me out of the broadcast and only use Watanabe's answers, plus, since Ian was translating for Watanabe (and the two of them were in Detroit while I was in Toronto), I decided to just address the questions to Ian. I simply edited out Ian asking the questions in Japanese, and dubbed him over Watanabe to save time. Hope you dig it... Pedro

Very interesting interview. Didn't know that Watanabe-san felt that way. I have to admit 'Samurai Champloo' is an interesting if unique piece of work. I definitely enjoyed it. I have to put that on my wishlist eventually. I already requested it as part of our library collection. It was one of the most circulated of the video materials.
 That and 'Evangelion'.

Great interview, thanks for posting it for us.
The artists mentioned on the soundtrack were tsuchie, Force of Nature, nujabes, and fat jon. The Japanese group he was refering to later is Scha Dara Parr. |
