Maison Yoshiki Paris by Global Superstar Yoshiki Makes Highly-Anticipated Paris Fashion Week Debut

MAISON YOSHIKI PARIS announced today that its ready-to-wear collection will be shown during Paris Fashion Week at Palais de Chaillot on September 30.

The international superstar YOSHIKI debuted his MAISON YOSHIKI PARIS collection earlier this year at Milan Fashion Week F/W 24/25 at the invitation of Camera Nazionale della Moda. The debut received overwhelming attention from major fashion media around the world and blew away both audiences and critics with YOSHIKI's bold and innovative presentation.

YOSHIKI is the first and only Japanese artist to be honored with a hand and footprint ceremony at the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood in nearly 100 years. YOSHIKI's edgy, androgynous style, which began with his band X JAPAN, revolutionized the entertainment landscape of Asia in regard to makeup and fashion, and is a trailblazer who has influenced decades of artists, including today's top K-Pop stars. At the 2023 MAMA Awards, the world's top K-Pop award show, YOSHIKI became the first Japanese artist to be named "Favorite International Artist".

MAISON YOSHIKI PARIS fuses YOSHIKI's visions of fashion, design, and lifestyle with glamorous and genderless designs. The LINE is expected to feature 40 looks.

YOSHIKI said, "I've dedicated my entire life to beauty. I'd like to inject something new into the existing fashion industry. I have great respect for the designers who are at the forefront of today's fashion industry, at the same time, I think I can contribute something truly revolutionary.

"My personal relationship with fashion started when I was a child. My father ran a luxury kimono business and I've always been surrounded by textiles, craftsmanship and a real sense of elegance. I've always been interested in the international avant-garde fashion. From the outset, I've followed the collections of Dior, Celine and McQueen whom I've always admired, as well as other designers I like and wear."

In addition to MAISON YOSHIKI PARIS, the multi-faceted creator has introduced a new collection of crystal stemware in collaboration with French crystal maker Baccarat. YOSHIKI's collaboration with Baccarat began in 2021 when he was selected as one of the designers to commemorate Baccarat's 180 th anniversary in 2021.This project also stems from YOSHIKI's creation of Y by YOSHIKI wine with the Mondavi family in Napa, California, and the establishment of YOSHIKI's own premiere Champagne brand with renowned French house POMMERY.

YOSHIKI launched Yoshikimono in 2009 as a fusion of tradition and innovation. Yoshikimono was chosen to be displayed at the prestigious V&A Museum in London and at the Musée du Quai Branly – Jacques Chirac in Paris alongside works from other prominent fashion designers Alexander McQueen, Yves Saint Laurent, Jean-Paul Gaultier, and John Galliano. YOSHIKIMONO has headlined Tokyo Fashion Week multiple times since 2015, and he is the first Japanese male talent to be featured on the cover of Vogue Japan.

YOSHIKI is a composer, classically-trained pianist, rock drummer, and the leader of the rock group X Japan. YOSHIKI was named "one of the most influential musicians and composers in Japanese history" by Consequence and is described by Billboard as "a musical innovator".

In 2023, YOSHIKI's directorial debut feature film YOSHIKI: Under the Sky premiered in New York, Tokyo, London, and Los Angeles, followed by showings in over 130 theaters in the U.S., Europe, and Japan.
