And so the trickle down effect begins. Musicland goes an entire quarter without paying it's duebt and first Palisades closes now Ventura is sold off to to cover bills of it's own that wern't paid.

Well I guess that shows that companies should secure their dept so that if what happens to Musicland happens again they wont be in so much trouble.

Most companies do not have the free capitol or financial size to secure their debt. Musicland was a bigger company they these guys and it they did not have the financial leverage to require Musicland to secure their debt. There will be at least one more distributer merger to come out of this and we may loose a publisher but that is no where near certain yet.
