Awesome! Love this show and will gladly take more.
And GuP does not have a stupid premise - it's comedic genius as the show has proven.

Glad to hear it. As far as sports anime go, this one isn't boring! What made this series exciting is sticking to the classic tournament formula, but having the action itself come off as natural battles with a bit of luck and stretching for the protagonists.

Come to think of it, wouldn't it usually take a bit longer for an original anime to get more seasons produced, where they have to create everything from scratch, compared to ones adapted from already existing material?

It should had been lolis in war tanks whose clothes are off 90% percent of the time. That would have reduced some of the suck.

Does this really count as a "sports" anime?
From what I've seen it's more just a moe-styled fighting anime with tanks.

Of course its a sports anime.
And what the hell is "moe-styled fighting" supposed to be, precisely?

I meant that it was a fighting show with moe-asthetics.
Whenever someone says "sports anime" I tend to think of shows like KuroBasuke or Prince of Tennis--you know, shows about actual sports.
In any case, I'm glad this show is getting a second season. I'm about to marathon it and it seems interesting enough.

This is a meaningless dicta. Any type of show can have 'moe aesthetics'. That doesn't make it not whatever genre it is. You keep trying to conflate aesthetics with genre and its really irritating.
And its not a fighting show. Its a sports show.

Well, it would indeed be awesome if Tankery was an actual sport, but it sadly enough isn't.

Dude, I dunno what you're talking about. I was saying that it had moe aesthetics. I didn't say that that somehow affected what genre it was in.

"Moe-styled" is one adjective, "fighting anime" is a single noun phrase.
"Moe-styled fighting" is not a noun phrase, and it is not an adjective describing the word "anime".
Your interpretation (the second) is grammatically plausible but in context and especially with the comment explaining what Chagen46 meant, not the logically apparent one.
Even if it were, you're expressing some pretty uncalled-for force on the subject. I can't tell whether you're tapping away an answer while drinking a soothing cup of tea or whether you're bashing at your keyboard while screaming at your screen - but, dude - Fencedude - you're coming across as arrogant and in this case you're even wrong.

How is a show about girls fighting with Tanks a sports show? Is the world on its head; I haven't seen the show, but even if its about war games, they do not classify as sports. I dont think anyone is going to start calling Infinite Stratos a sports show.
And yes Binobogami needs a second season, so does ben to, though to be fair , ben to probably has the single most ridiculous premise ever so I would not use that argument.
But Panzer is just cashing in on the Strike Girls/KON/Madoka fad; honestly any show with 4 or more girls under the ages of 18 these days will pretty sell in Japan.

Yes you did. You said it was a "moe fighting show", which is meaningless.
And jymmy here with the tone arguments. Spare me.

In this setting, Sensha-do is a martial art, akin to Kendo or Judo. Garupan is a sports show the same way, say, Bamboo Blade is.
