That was uploaded five years ago and the year given in the video is either 2003 or 2000, with a 1998 copyright year. I think it's safe to say it didn't get the movie greenlit.
That said, if there is a movie currently in the works, let's hope they get better CG than the video had. |

That's a test film from an old PS game.
I'd give a kidney to see a live action version of Patlabor 2. BTW, did anybody kind of think The Host was fairly reminiscent of certain aspects of WXIII? |

I'm all in for another Patlabor movie wether it'll end up being live action or not. It be great to see another movie on that series since there hasn't been too much new material for that franchise in a while. Other than those special edition box sets that have tons of production notes and storyboards released in America a few years ago. Other than that, it's sad to see the American DVDs for the OVAs and TV series are either avalible in limited quanity or not avalible, excluding the copies that are marked with atleast a hundred dollars for the price tag online.
