even though these polls never reflect disc sales im kinda surprised not to see SAO as number one given how popular the LN but its still in the top five which is good.

List didn't cover movies. Am really looking forward to Ashura.
Nothing on the list appeals to me except for Choyaku Hyakunin Isshu: Uta Koi. Not too bothered though.

WHY DOES SPRING 2012 HAVE TO END
Seriously let's just cancel Summer 2012 and rerun everything from this season because it has been so perfect.

Why in the world would it cover movies?

It was a casual and offhand statement. *shrug*

You're just better off not responding to anything Fencedude says.

Was a little surprised that Sword Art Online isn't in the top #3 there but hmm...

I think Yuruyuri♪♪ should be #1. But least I am happy with the list. Looking forward to watch Lagrange and Horizon as well.

Its pretty close to my top 5. Only thing I'd replace is the Incest anime with Tari Tari.

Few people on ANN seem excited by Kokoro Connect. Personally it's been my most highly anticipated summer anime ever since it was first announced, but it could be due to my bias toward its story concept Don't know why it's particularly well received by Japanese otaku.

K-on character designer. Something as simple as that can get the otaku all hyped about it.

K-on character designer. |
But then so what's so different about fans in Japan that simply because a new show shares a character designer of an extremely popular show, that it's not highly anticipated in other countries (ie ANN users)? I mean I know westerners pay less attention to staff and character designers, and my interest in the show is not because of K-On! but Hyouka seems pretty popular here.

I don't know much about these upcoming series. I just hope they are as good as the current Spring season. Is it just me? But isn't it funny that these Biglobe polls are never official polls, but rather polls run by users.

Because nobody knows what it's about yet, although Japanese audiences probably would. If it gets the same budget and detail as Hyouka (the animation detail in that is amazing, right down to the life-like postcards) I expect it to be pretty big among overseas fans too.

It's funny how you mentioned that. I'm assuming this incest anime is "One of them is my little sister"? (my understanding of Japanese is really bad) -- the one where a guy has to choose to marry one of the girls in his school, except one of them is his sister but he doesn't know whom? That's probably the first incest-themed anime I've given some interest in watching. I think there's potential for some good drama and angst if done well.
