Why should they? They'll make decent profit here because they know there are fans who will pay for it.

It might go down to half price in a few years. Does Japan ever do anime at bargain bin prices like we do years after release? I think Pixy is the only company that actually charges well under the normal price, and of course they're selling hentai.

I'll just wait a bit (2 weeks).

However, Fate/Zero will be cheaply released like Kara no Kyoukai on DVD.

Mostly because I feel it's price gouaging. Seriously a set like the first half of the series normally released in America would be at the most 150 and yet it was nearly 3 times that amount while I don't beget people who want it the same time as the Japanese market they also need to consider the people who can't afford these sets. Granted it may be another year or two but eventually a cheaper set will make it's way down here and I'll grab it but now...sorry.

Before people deny this will sell, it should be noted, the Fate/Zero Blu-ray Box I made it on Rightstuf's best-seller list a couple of times (Especially before it came out), and I'm sure we all remember KnK.

Only one thing outsold it back in like January.

Anyway, can't wait to pre-order this. I'm very happy with my first set, and I badly want the other.

BTW, this WON'T be $370. The second BD Box in Japan is much cheaper. Someone at another forum went into how much it could cost.

Yup. For example, Bandai has their Emotion the Best line and Geneon re-releases under Rondo Robe for relatively cheap re-releases (boxset or half-season boxsets).

Also, a decent number of shows are getting re-released on blu-ray as a boxset (upscaled or not) and the usual half-cour price is around 29400 yen MSRP - which is definitely cheaper than if you bought the singles.

It should be noted those cheaper re-releases usually sell very, very, very badly. Many sell under 1,000 copies, and don't rank on the Oricon charts. I've seen only one Emotion the Best re-release recently make it, and it sold about only 1,000 copies.

Sure, but that wasn't relevant to the question at hand. Same goes with some of the BD boxset re-releases of older shows - they do okay.
