Wish this movie/series would get a North America release.

Why the hell isn't this anime licensed already here in America?
Funimation or Sentai Filmworks needs to pick this up and give it a proper english dub!I would love to add this series to the collection!

Maybe they can pick up the series, the bonus episodes, and the movie, and gives us a complete collection.

Add me to the list of fans wanting to see the series and movie picked up for a North American release (BD; English dub, please). Not sure why the series licence wasn't picked up already, but maybe perspective licencees are waiting for the movie to come out to, as already mentioned, release it all as a package. If I recall correctly, the movie was announced at the same time as the series. In any case, the movies looks like it will be good. Just wish I'd watched the simulcast of the series so that I'd know the story leading up to the movie.

this series was horrible, all the episode followed the same predictable pattern and the end wasnt at all satisfactory, hope the movie makes up for it...

If it does get licensed, I'm guessing it'll probably be from Aniplex. I remember watching Blood+ on Adult Swim, and seeing the "Aniplex" logo at the beginning.
The TV series used some weird plot gimmicks to promote the movie, but the movie looks like it might be quite a bit better (and seems to have a much higher budget).

Because the series sucked. People complained about Endless 8. The uproar for this title would be priceless.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you there. Because Endless 8 didn't have amazingly animated gory action sequences and love it/hate it camp value.
I'm in the "love it" camp, if you couldn't tell.
Also: YAY WATANUKI. I'm probably in the minority here, but I really love CLAMP's gratuitous crossovers.

Because Jun Fukuyama voiced the Dog in the series, the speculation I heard elsewhere was that dog was really an alternate dimension form of Watanuki. So I wasn't surprised to see Watanuki in the trailer or the shop's exterior in the web site's stills.

This is a surface-scratching spoiler for the end of volume 16 of xxxHOLiC's manga (and part of the end of Tsubasa), but Watanuki doesn't likely have an alternate universe equivalent due to the state of his existence.
But forget alternate worlds... THE DOG IS WATANUKI. It is far too much of a coincidence for the voice actor and the dog's role to be the same. And anyone who knows CLAMP knows what they think about coincidences. ~_^
