Kugimiya Rie, not sure if want.

I hope she does well. I really liked Tomoko Kawakami's portrayal of Miu-san.

Where does it say it's a recap? From what I've heard (and if you actually watched the video) this takes place directly after the Ragnarok arc and it's the start of the Yomi arc.

I don't know Japanese but I didn't need subs to remember some of these scenes from the manga.

Also there were 50 episodes of Kenichi (TV series) not 52 (unless you're counting these 2 OVAs episodes but they're new...)

I think he meant re-introduction and i'm gonna kinda agree. Seems unnecessary since this OVA is packed with a volume. People that buy that volume will already know who those people are. That said i am hyped for it. And Funimation better do something with this.

Still seems like excessive complaining for what will only be probably 5 minutes of recap max.

And it is worth noting that the manga even has reintroductions for the main characters every now and then (usually at the beginning of a new arc) even though readers already know who they are.

Must be some marketing thing to try and ease in new fans. Very Happy

Maybe you guys don't read the Kenichi manga but the mangaka has this tendency to "reintroduce" the Ryouzanpaku masters in several ocassions, i.e. IIRC after the Ragnarok arc ended he did (And I am fairly sure he kinda did mid-Ragnarok arc since that´s where the Kenichi anime began.. more or less in the mid of that arc).

Also I hope this gets to Kenichi getting a second animation, I am sure this OVAs are a way to test if there is enough demand for a new Kenichi anime, Weekly Shonen Sunday needs more manga with anime adaptations running and Kenichi would be cool IMO.

Funimation PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Liscence this and reunite the dub cast. My friends and I purchased the first DVD set from San Diego Comic Con when it first came out and it was so entertaining, that we waited patiently for a full 2 years to get the next 25 episodes in the second half of the show. We have watched a grand total of 1 episode subbed and that was it. It was that great to us Anime smile (And we are a sub only kind of group).

I am willing to wait quite a while to get this, but given how High Quality and how fast (under 2 years) you put out Fairy Tail with a great dub; I would love to be pleasantly surprised next year ^_~.

You will see me asking for this at cons too just in case you don't read ANN's posts as much as we think you do.

I would love if Funimation licensed this! KenIchi is such a fun show! Anime hyper

But, then again, there's quite a list of anime series that they have never completed. I won't be surprised if they skip this as well.
