Hi, since this an all anime website, I'm sure there's bound to be allot of people who like one of the most famous anime series from the past 30 some years.
I only got into it around last Spring, and still trying to see all of the anime from good to bad ones. So do any of you like Lupin the 3rd? |

From what I've seen of it, the first 20 or so episodes of the second TV series that CN's Adult Swim aired, I'd say definitely. I wish they'd get more of them but it's probabally not going to happen.

You can look up information about Lupin the 3rd on the Anime Listings to the left under Encyclopedia. Here is a link to the version aired early morning on Adult Swim. I like Lupin the 3rd, but I wouldn't call myself a huge fan. I've never seen any of the movies, or anything, just the episodes on Adult Swim.[/url] |

I love that French/Japanese thief!! Jigen and Goemon are awesome, too!
If it weren't for Urusei Yatsura and Kinnikuman (and maybe Cyborg 009, too), Lupin would be my favorite manga/anime of all time! PS: Castle of Cagliostro is one of the greatest animated movies ever!! |

AS has stated that they will not be ordering additional episodes of Lupin due to low ratings. Geneon, however, is continuing to release additional episodes on DVD.
Lupin is French. Jigen is from Chicago. Goemon and Fujiko are the only two that are Japanese.
So you don't know if you're a fan or not? Okay.... Anyway, why are you complaining about FUNi? They're releasing the movies as fast as they can. What, you want them to release one every week? I suppose you didn't know that Crisis in Tokyo releases today? Last edited by Starwind Amada on Tue Aug 23, 2005 3:10 pm; edited 2 times in total |

Starwind, first of all, don't quote Ataru with something I said, especially right after you just quoted me for saying it...
And second, I am very well informed of the nationalities of the cast of Lupin III. Lupin is the son of a frenchman (the son of french gentleman thief Arsene Lupin) and a japanese woman. He's French/Japanese. And you frogot Zenigata; he's Japanese just like Goemon and Fujiko... And please, let people be annoyed with what they consider a slow release rate, it doesn't hurt anyone... |

Whoops, screwed up with the quoting. I'll fix that. Also, when you said Lupin was French/Japanese, I thought you meant you weren't sure if he was French or Japanese. I had no idea his mother was Japanese, only that his father was French. Sorry. |

My avatar might be a big clue that I am a fan. Any hoot, I'm not really complaining becasue the movies are not coming out every month. Heck, I would like atleast every three months. But back in 2002, Fun stated, "every six months", which for the most part, they stuck to. BTW, I do know, becasue it was setting on my door step when I got home. |

Can anyone recommend a good place to start to get a sense for the series?
Seems like they're so many versions/sequels where's the best place to start? The beginning first episode, or one of the movies? |
