Hmmm, is Sailor Moon volume 1 supposed to be volume 2, or did that just make a comeback?

Pokemon Black and White may not be full volumes, but they ARE putting them out fast and becoming successful! I've been grabbing them all and I honestly don't find that they are only part-volumes.
I sure hope Viz brings out all the OTHER arcs for Pokemon Adventure/Special. May fans have been asking for Ruby/Sapphire etc with well, not much response back. I know they are doing B&W and Platinum right now, so hopefully Platinum's run won't be too long, and they can go back and work on the other stuff... Pokemon sells well for them, so I don't know why they wouldn't. |

Maybe it was from people stocking up on the first volumes before the new ones came out? Early holiday shopping? Otherwise, I don't know. |

Well yay for Princess Knight, I'm sure Vertical is happy. Hope it stays up for another week. Horray for Classic Tezuka.
Be interesting to see next week's list when Sailor Moon and Sailor V's second volumes are included. Were do the kids buy the Pokemon volumes? Wonder if those are mainly online or do they actually buy those in stores. |

The first printing of Sailor Moon and Sailor V sold out and it took a while for Kodansha to get the second printing out. Sailor Moon Volume 2, and Sailor V Volume 2 should show up next week as it came out 3 days ago. |

I started collecting Pokemon Adventures this year and was curious about when they are releasing Ruby/Sapphire and the rest so did some digging, and it seems they are not going to release them, I suppose the series as a whole isn't doing to well. I think they jumped to D/P/P because it's a fairly recent game, and of course Black and White is at the forefront of Pokemon fan minds atm. Since VIZ are/have(?) released the last volume of Gold/Silver as a mega volume including concluding chapters in the start of the R/S arc, it seems that they are not considering releasing R/S onwards at all. It's very very sad because I hate Chuang Yi... |

Looks like Viz's small volume Pokemon idea payed off. It was a greatly timed release, what with Black and White being released earlier this year and the show being on TV.

Wow from not even being on the list second place WAY TO GO SAILOR V! Same to you Sailor Moon! You've been on the list for how many weeks? Anyway way to go Sailor Moon Manga! Now lets work on the anime redub! (*wink* *Wink* Eh Funi?)

Yeah, I know it's weird that they wrapped everything up in that one volume, but I think (or, well, hoping) it's because they are putting it on hiatus for now. But still, I don't think it sold that bad... Whenever I looked up the "best manga sellers" on Amazon (although it's pretty bad and has random comics and novels in there sometimes) but Pokemon Adventures always seemed to be in the top 20! Maybe with better sales on B&W they'll give it another chance... I'd hate to see such a big gap incomplete! There's always bugging them on Facebook and at cons! EDIT: There may be hope! Given how terrible Viz'd handling of the Pocket Monsters Special is, I'm surprised it's doing so well. Then I remember it's Pocket Monsters and kids don't care about the edits and changes like normal anime fans tend to and I realize I guess it's not that surprising.
Nice to see Sailor Moon still up there, all things considered. Sadly Toei probably won't think this is enough to get the license here again. |
