Did anyone else notice in their press release that all the anime movies to be aired will be in English-sub unless otherwise noted!!! Such a wonder I want to see!!

If this is the channel I'm thinking of, then weren't they already broadcasting subbed anime a couple of years back? I vividly remember Slayers, Fushigi Yugi, El-Hazard, Soul Hunter (for wich I feel badly nostalgic now)...

Next, they'll buy out Xanga, and all the staff names will be something like xxangelwavexx. =/
Good grief. That's just awful.

Slayers yes, they did show it subbed. Hell, there were times they showed the anime in Japanese with NO subtitles like DBGT and Fushigi Yuugi Eikoden.

It's because "LOL AZN4EVA KAWAII KEKEKEKEKEKEKE ^_^ TV" wouldn't fit on most people's TV screens.

I liked it more as an "International Channel". I also don't like the fact that they completely removed all of their Russian and European programming. Still, I will watch it.

Wow some people are over reacting to a name change.

It's not just the name change. The complete removal of non-Asian programming that many of us enjoyed is a pretty big deal too. And still, the name IS pretty embarrassing. It's like if they changed the title of Lone Wolf and Cub to "Sword Totin' Gangsta and Lil' Hip-Hop".

And they got rid of the Sunday night Japanese drama and Hey^3, which was my main draw to the station.
