Is it OK to be attracted to girls like, oh let's say Rei and Auska from Evangelion, who are very obviously underage? I have reached the conclusion that it is because they are cartoons, but I want to hear other opinions

I have been attracted to quite a few animated characters. I think the first one was Pocahontas in the second grade. Last year it was Fujiko. Anyway, all anime chicks look older than they already are. You really can't tell until they say it. I mean, Kagome isn't even in high school and she's kind of hot.

Not that I get off on that kind of stuff.

This is a very common thing with anime fans. I forget what it's called, "loli-(something or other)" I think. I could care less if fans have some sort of attraction or obsession over young girls in anime (though child molestors in real life are another story). It's fine because they aren't real and no one really gets hurt except for maybe the person obsessing (too much obsession is bad for the brain Anime dazed).

I'll leave it for other users to discuss this since I'm hardly knowledgable about this sort of thing Razz.

I really don't mind either, its fine to like an anime, and the young girls in there, but i think that the anime should be liked for the content, not just the underage girls. Personally i don't buy anime solely for that purpose, but its always good if the characters are attractive.

Most anime teenagers are just adults with bigger eyes.

An exception are the girls from Super Gals!, who are 16 and 17 yet are drawn looking "younger", but they're drawn cute, not creepy.

Lolita complex, or lolicom/lolicon for short, from the famous novel of the same name.

I've seen slogans on the backcover of lolicon magazines: "Fantasies are innocent! Actions are GUILTY!" Laughing

Not necessary. Check out Sensei no Ojikan. Mika is 27.

But in Japanese anime you gotta be careful about that. At first glance, a lot of the women people have fantasies about can be men. Off the top of my head I'd say like 45% of all Japanese animation produced has one person you think is a woman but really is a man (half the cast of Fruits Basket is a good example).

And in Japanese-produced games, take Bridget from Guilty Gear X. Now that's just . . . scary. Shocked

So they are only 14, huh. You wouldn’t know it from all the things they do in those Doujins I got...……. (nose bleeds)

The sexual minimum age is 15 in Denmark so if I ever get my hands on Ayanami I would only have to wait a year, and then (imitates porn music with his mouth) Waka waka waka waka, if you catch my drift. (wink wink, nudge nudge)

(censored)I wan’t you to listen to me, I’m going to say this again. I did not (want to) have sexual relations with that woman, miss Lewin… eh… Ayanami..(/censored)

I'd say it's ok, but the question is do you really want to? Becoming attracted to anime charecters is tempting
as long as you don't fall in love
but couldn't liking an anime charecter highten your expectations towards girls in reality?

i don't know. And i shouldn't be one to talk. I like anime charecters to.

I'd say that it definitely could. Some people say that fantasy and reality can be totally seperate in a person, but the thing is that underneath it all, the fantasy can and does most definitely affect the person's behavior in reality in that the fantasy is what they wish for, and it affects little things and the like.

So when you're having fantasies, are you an animated cartoon character too? Laughing. Just to remember not to dump your real life gf because your anime gf told you so.

Need a bed buddy? Make sure you use protection.

And yes, since my introduction to anime my “standards” have grown much, much loftier.

Actually, they were amazingly high to begin with, and now they are just downright ridiculous. In fact they can only be defined in the terms of the properties of the ethereal realm, as the boundaries of the physical universe can ill contain its abstract rules and definitions. Basically, if you are not Ayanami Rei then your chances of passing the preliminary selection process drop to about absolute zero.

Your "standards" being young girls with large breasts and tiny waists, often dressed in skimpy clothing and submissive to the wills of the more powerfully portrayed men?
Congratulations for proving what a chauvinistic worm you are.

Liking anime characters is fine and dandy, but expecting real women to behave as just more objects for your fantasies in order to meet your ridiculous standards is insulting.
