Isn't that red dinosaur the one from Digimon Tamers?

But that made a point of not following the conventions of shonen magical pet anime. So why's the dinosaur doing the cliche "I'm a tough guy" nose rub thing?

Guilmon? No.

I don't see any previous leads in that picture, actually.

Hmm, did they mean the franchise's past heroes like Taichi, Daisuke, and Takato? Or their Digimon partners? Because no one looks too familiar... unless they show up throughout the story?

I wish I paid more attention to Digimon thus far, but I really have'nt watched an episode since Tamers... I wonder if they'll bring it to the US?

Some test dubs have been made by William Winckler Prouductions, commisioned by Toei, to see if the series would be worth bringing over (which they say were met with positive reception) and they licensed "Digimon Fusion Battles" and "Digimon Xros Wars" a while ago for the US so I wouldn't "highly doubt" it comes over just....more of a being sceptical type of thing.

The whole "past generation main characters" returning thing makes me think of Kamen Rider Decade and Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger.....so...would this be the Digimon version of them?

In any case, all I want to know is if Ryo Akiyama will show up in this new season/series/whatever the heck it is. I know he wasn't a main character of an anime but he at least had those 4 wonderswan games.

Sounds interesting, but I'm not expecting much more than cameos from previous DigiDestined the same way they did the "DigiMemories" from the first season of Xros Wars (and completely brushed off in the second season).

Maybe it's just me, but that one floating on the balloons kinda looks like a redesigned Impmon. I guess if spoiler[Damemon can be reborn for the new season so can Beelzebumon]. Having a new Gabumon certainly will make it interesting when some of the kids return in episodes.

Has there been a Digimon series that didn't air on US TV yet? No there hasn't.

The one floating on the balloons is a Digimon like Gatomon/Tailmon. Could actually be Tailmon, or perhaps a variant as the Gabumon-like Digimon pictured is actually Psychemon, which is Gabumon with a different color variation x.x

So by lead characters, does it mean lead Digimon (like Tailmon and Gabumon?)

I'm actually interested in this. Tamers was definitely the best series, and although this is only bringing back the director (and not the awesome writing of Chiaki J Konaka (who also did Lain among other things)), it should be nifty to see how this plays out...

October 2nd is turning into an awesome day. HxH 2011, One Piece Part 2, Dexter S6, and now this Very Happy

They've been hinting at this since episode 1 of season 1 as well as with the Digi-memories so I'm really glad they finally decided to go through with it! Things are really looking bright for this show now.

I have been waiting on watching this Digimon for a while now. I watched season 5 and wasn't too crazy about it. Not bad, but not like the first 4. But just the fact they're bringing back our old friends... I'm sold. I will be watching this immediately.
