Wow! I wonder if this is just a result of the two shows being on air at the same time, or if SD is doing well enough to warrant the extra effort.

Gintama has made various references to Sket Dance in past episodes, and since there is actually manga material, it's not a massive shock to see this happen.
The only thing that I didn't expect is to have a Sket Dance episode dedicated to it as well.
Either way, looking forward to both!!!

Yeah... but thats ok since even 2 episodes is going to be great and they are less than a month away! I really love both shows - good mix of action and humor.

Also, slight nitpick: The main character of Gintama's name is "Gintoki," not "Gin."

"Gin!" Ok his proper name is Gintoki Sakata but come on... we all know him by just Gin.
What I'd like to know I've seen the name of the show as "Gintama" and "Gin Tama" ..... which is correct?

Kintoki, Temee or the newest nickname is Unko Nagerare. If you say it he will come to you.
