The kid obviously has no idea what a zombie is if his wish is to kiss one.

Before you judge, i suggest you read the manga first and you might realize the zombie thing is correct.

This kid wants to kiss a zombie? For a zombie genre fan, is this guy nuts? The first thing that a female zombie would do when you want to kiss her is that she will bite your lips off! Plus, as a guy I don't even want to know what will happen if this guy gets her to perform fellatio on him.

Anyways, this sounds ridiculous but yet, I want to see where this thing will go. Strange for me, isn't it?

You must be new to this entire "anime" thing. One of its defining attributes is taking a ridiculous premise and creating something quite enjoyable out of it. If you don't think it'll work, pick up the manga and see how it works for you before blindly passing judgement.

Obviously someone thought it would be a good idea to make into an anime...

Just read the manga, because I sure don't feel like writing a long spoilerish post to convince you on why this isn't stupid romantic comedy #3252578. Especially since it's rather stupid.

Here's a big spoiler from vol. 4 to you zombie fans. spoiler[There was an almost-kiss, it ended with protagonist losing chunk of flesh from his neck.]
