Hello, im not sure if this posting is going to make any sense but here goes nothing...
In the mid 80's, early 90's, an educational animated serie that evolved around the human body was a big hit among the children in Norway. The basic plot of the serie was to show how the human body worked. In every episode the boy (or the "host") would get in some sort of trouble that needed to be fixed by his organs. In one episode he breaks his arm and you get an educated in how the human body tries to heal itself. Thats all i got ![]() I wonder if there is anyone who nows if this show and if it is available to buy. Im planning to give it as a gift to my brother. I will be ever so thankful if anyone have any information about this subject. |

If I'm correct, this is actually a French cartoon named Il était une fois la vie (Once upon a time, life)

Thank you for reminding me of this forgotten classic.
![]() I remember watching this as a kid and I think it was one of my favourite shows. I checked if it was available in dvd's in Finland and found out that there is dvd box of it. And if there is Finnish box then I believe there is a high probability of Norwegian box also. Just check some Norwegian dvd stores. |

Actually, there were a whole bunch of different "Il était une fois..." series. One was space opera, another was a sort of general introduction to history.
I saw them all, but the human body series is the most memorable. Now, if the Norwegian title was anything like the Danish one, you should look for them under the titles: "Der var engang..." - abunai |

Man I loved that old FRENCH cartoon. Actually the same guys made alot educational programs like "One upon a human", "Once upon a life" "Once upon a History". When I was a kid me and my younger brothers would watch this show every saturday morning. I guess I can advise you to check e-bay or some other stores in your area.

Ozzy and Drix isn't all that lame. It is fairly good, and it does teach little kids about their bodies in a way that keeps them interested.

This show was also very popular in Finland. Aired on national television. Used to watch it when I was a kid. Very interresting and educational show. Too bad they don't show it anymore as even kids today would find it interresting. Maybe I should thank this show for my great scores in human biology tests

No way, the space opera series was the best. Those spaceship designs were so *!$%*! stylish ![]() |

True - and the name of their spaceship was cool: Libellule ("Dragonfly", or Trollsländan as they called it on Swedish TV, which is the broadcaster that I used to watch them on). Still, the stone age episodes of the historical series were fun, as were the Renaissance episodes. Remember the smaller of the two villains, the guy with the perpetually red nose? He looked really at home in doublet and hose, looking for the place in your back to plant a stiletto. - abunai |
