I've seen the commercial on late-night TV before, mostly during Late Night with Conan O' Brian. The production value isn't that good, but it was still fun to watch.
I'm surprised that Nike's latest set of commerical's, Chamber of Fear, hasn't been reported on, since it looks like either Production I.G. or Gonzo worked on the animated segments on it. They have the commericals over at www.nikebasketball.com |

That was pretty lame.
The Nike Chamber of Fear ones are a lot cooler. The Fo Shizzles rock. |

I find this hilarious.
Yes, it isn't up to "normal anime production standards" -- but I think that's part of the fun. It's cheesy in a good way. Home Star Runner doesn't look like Looney Tunes, but it still makes me laugh. I love the oddly-dubbed "Yes." in there, too. |

Wow, that was pretty lame. And yes, the Nike commercials are really cool and well done.. definitely reminded me of Production IG.

FYI, it's Benihana, NOT "Benihama".

THAT set back ANIME status for the next 20 years... what a waste of money, and being an artist myself, I would have LOVED to do that job because apparaently they would have given me tons of cash for 6 drawings that they slide all over the screen.
What a piece of crap. |

At least the Nike ad is also going to be aired here in the US. Its animation is many levels higher than the Benihama Anime Ad.

That LeBron James commercial is awesome.
It's so stylish, yet holds so true to what he must be facing this early in his NBA career. Good luck to ya' Bron! "You think you're Super Bad? *I'm* Super Bad." "Fo Shizzle!" |

That was interesting to say the least. Did anyone else play the games? they were incredibly easy. I won the prize pack. Yay.

The goofy chinese theme for the marketing campaign seems... lame. Then again maybe lame isn't the right word. Heck i can't seem to pin it down but there's something that just sorta turns me off.
Maybe that's cos I'm chinese and I understand what the voiceover is actually saying :p And oh hey by the way the subtitles are waaaaaaay off and not a literal translation of what the narrator is babbling about. |

The best part was with the Haters. They need to do a spin-off with them.

yup the chinese voice-over instantly puts me off, the lines sound so lame, and the voice acting is just so bad and pretentious... but it does make a good laugh for me |
