I'm surprised the ROD manga hasn't been released in the US yet.

Yes, odd, isn't it?

I enjoyed the ROD manga since it gave more story to the Paper.

I've heard that the ova manga was rather boring, but the tv series version was really good. Hopefully it'll get snatched up soon since it was what made me not go by the ova, and buy the first episodes of the series.

The OVA is exellent and is a blast to watch. I've only seen a few episodes, and I think the TV show has a way to go before it reaches the OVA in terms of quality. I also tried reading the manga adaptation of Read or Dream (the TV series, not the original Read or Die manga), and that bored me, and I stopped reading quickly. I have yet to read the original manga yet, but I will soon.

So . . . has anyone tried to obtain the rights to the R.O.D. manga?

I didn't even know there was a ROD manga. Seems kinda funny since it the story has to do with paper and your reading a book about people who kinda control books
