Wow, I did of expected Puffing Tom's truly famous quote (One Piece, Oda's work "If your a man, do it with a don!"

That should be number one and Case Closed quote (which from what I remember "with a keen eye for details, one truth will prevail." Should be next.

I am glad Bleach is there but just saying "what" really isn't that notable of a quote to be honest. I am sure there are better quotes out there.

Hmm, not really familiar with the Gundam quote (assuming they meant only the original series). "this is no Zaku, boy, no Zaku!", "we're jumping onto White Base!", or "doesn't this thing have any weapons?, sure, but not the one listed.

Bleach's made me laugh. Of course the most popular quote from Bleach for the Western fanbase is likely the infamous spoiler["who said the Espada go from 1 to 10?"].

I was expecting more unique type of quotes. Some, especially that Bleach one, is too generic. That could go for many manga, wouldn't it? How can some generic quotes be traced like that?

Lol, I'm not sure about that one. I think maybe spoiler[Aizen's "...just as I planned..." from the Deicide arc] would rank higher in its level of infamy. Very Happy

I had forgotten about that, haha! I'll stick to what I said if we're staying within the confines of Bleach alone. It's not so much the line itself, but the absurd explanations that accompanied it...

The key phrase in the survey is: "quotes whose origins you don't know." There are other, more famous quotes for which you recognize where they came from. But, the survey is for the quotes that you may see a lot, but don't know their origins.

I'm surprised that "Kitanai hanabi da..."
isn't on there from DBZ.

Wait... people don't know the origin of "I must not run away"?
