$3 an episode in significantly worse than DVD quality for a gadget I don't own (or want to own). I can't exactly call this an ideal release.

I have an iTouch, there's no compatibility problems (other than trying that re-dubbing thing would require an external mic for mine as it is a gen 2)

I love Dennou Coil! But I want to know if anyone is going to license-recsue it and give it a complete boxset, since bandai visual had it last.

It can't be rescued as it has never been licensed in the first place. Bandai Visual is one of the production companies and released the DVDs in Japan under their Emotion label.

Fuuuuuuuck.
I don't have an iPhone, nor do I ever plan to buy one, nor do I have any interest in watching anime on a phone. Hence, this is a pretty big letdown. |

Yeah, I would have preferred some other form of release. The only thing that this gives me hope for is that they'll now have a subtitle script (good or bad, since I don't know anything about the translation quality) that could be put on a potential, future, Japanese BD release for the series. I want to buy Dennou Coil, but no one around here seems to be interested enough in licensing the show... ;_; |

I just bought an iPhone today but, I really have no interest in watching Dennō Coil on it. I hope this sparks some interest and it gets a DVD or Blu-ray release though. I liked it quite a lot.

I've seen it via fansubs and absolutely love the show.
While I did buy the first episode through the app to show my support for the show (and hopefully increase the odds of getting a Blu-Ray release), that's all I'll buy since, well, it seems stupid to pay for sub-dvd quality on a single device. I haven't watched this version of the episode yet, so I can't comment on the release itself. |

After reading Justin Sevakis review of it on the App page I'm just going to skip it. If Justin doesn't think it's worth messing with I'm going to take his word on it and pass.
