Great looks like Versus and KH3 are going to get delayed even longer. Atleast Agito is coming out this summer.

Really looking forward to FF XIII-2. I really enjoyed the first game, despite how much everyone else seemed to loathe it (reading user comments on ign makes me want to kill myself ).

Well lets just hope that FFXIII-2 won't have 20hours of prologue/tutorials.
Well I am glad but praying that these games are worth the money

I got to disc 2 on 360 and just couldn't bring myself to continue. (No not because of the Mpeg over Blu-Ray! Har!) The game just isn't as good as it once was. The numbered FF's. I been playing these since the beginning, they need something new.
Are any of the producers mom's dying, so we can get another FFVII? Kidding. Square and Enix make nothing exciting anymore, imo just more of the same. Or Lame.
I gotta finish 13 now.

The same event showed a new trailer for Versus XIII, too. No release date yet, but they did finally show some game play video so the game seems to be moving along smoothly. Probably wont be out this year, but they're still trudging away on it.

Glad Agito is going into its own thing. Not my cup of tea, but I do hope it works well for SE. It and Versus have been in development for a long while. I can see why they would stretch Agito to recoup cost.

I frakking KNEW Agito was the game to watch out for. I was so totally right - so far.
In any case, if anyone's curious and want to see the trailers....too bad. Square Enix, head of all things douchebaggery, have naturally blocked the trailers.

Of course they had to do this! FF XIV Online is crashing and burning at the moment!
What are they gonna do with FF XIII-2? Have them wake up another hundreds of years later to.................... have a lesbian dance concert?
Y'know what they should do? They should just put all the CG movie sequences together and sell it as a DVD or Blu-ray!
Nah seriously, Square Enix had to have another game that uses and pays for the Crystal Tools game engine that took them 5 long years and cost millions to develop.

When I showed my brother the video his first reaction was that you apparently can't have a "2" without another stupid half skirt. What's with the digression in outfit? Going from modern casual adventure attire to neo-Roman warrior goddess seems like a step back for the design team.

No kidding, it says "games" along with the "Interests" icon right next to the article, genius.

I was excited about this when I read about it on IGN. Especially since they said it will be released (in Japan) later this year. I just hope an English version will follow soon after.
Despite what other people have said about FFXIII, I really enjoyed it. Granted it was the first Final Fantasy game I ever played and I gather it is different from the other ones. I was getting tired of non-linear RPGs, so a nice linear story was a good change of pace.
To be honest, I much preferred the first portion of the game with the long tutorial and the slowing divulging new ways of playing over time to the ending half with the wide open field. The reason I liked the first half was because it was always changing and I like that in games that are hours upon hours long. I would play for a few hours, get the hang of the controls, and then a plot development occurs and the controls change up a bit or I get a new ability. It totally keeps the game interesting. However, once I got to the open area at the end of the game (avoiding spoilers) I found myself getting bored to tears and couldn't stand to play the game for more than an hour to an hour and a half at a time.
The second portion of the game was just running around slaying monsters so you could level yourself up and become strong enough to take down a boss monster and continue the story.
I got up the the final boss battle in the game, lost, and then roamed around leveling up my party for another 15 hours of gameplay so I can go back and beat him. I would get bored of playing and stop for months on end until one day I just tried to beat him again and found out that I leveled up so substantially that I barely had to do anything to win...

I'm actually surprised that they plan on revisiting. I hope that it will add some more story. Though I do wonder if XIII-2 will have any connection to Versus. Probably not.

Excellent. A sequel to my favorite (best) Final Fantasy ever. I just hope it doesn't turn out like FFX-2 or *gulp* FFXII.
