I'm not worried. This just means they're going to make Bleach Z/Shippuden/Greed Island.

That's what I thought when I read the article. There's no way Bleach is going off the air.

Bleach is ending? I love my stupid Bleach, and its stupid fillers! There were rumors a while back of the manga ending, but I was hoping the anime would continue. I always thought Bleach could survive a nuclear holocaust... like a roach.

Well, either the Bleach anime is going to end around the time the spring season starts, or there will be a years worth (or more) of filler episodes. They have a great point to end it on, though, so if they were thinking about a hiatus (like Gintama had) then this would be the time to take a break and maybe come back later.

Pffft. There is no way its ending now. It will continue on like Naruto and One Piece. At most it will take a break so the manga can get more ahead (and temporary relieve us from all those frigging filler episodes!).

i hope it ends...never thought it was very good. i like naruto's story a lot more. bleach just feels like they're spitting out random goo and mixing it up.

Wait, so did you actually read Naruto or...?
Anyways, I don't think Bleach will end. It's too popular.

So because you don't like it, it should end?
An anime ending before it finishes its manga's content is not a fate I would wish upon any series, no matter how terrible it is. Well, except for High School Of The Dead.

My guess is like everyone else, Bleach will probably go an an extended break while the manga either gets further ahead or finishes and then comes back as something like:
"Bleach" (with some filler still included),
"Bleach: Brotherhood" (no filler), or
"Bleach: The Final Act" (no filler but canon material is now fast paced)

That was bound to happen.
Bleach ratings are terrible since a good while ago. It wouldn't resist another massive filler season.

Safe bet is they're rebooting with a new title. However, i wouldn't be against them taking a break.

I had a feeling this would probably be happening soon. Just to point out, Bleach has been always what I'd call "dangerously close" to the manga, and I'm happy that it maybe potentially ending for a set amount of time. The only issue is probably making people come back to it when it restarts.
Not sure if this is spoiler worthy or not, but I just find it ironic that One Piece & Bleach did the time skip thing both around the same time. Is that seriously the new way to breathe life into a 300+ episode anime? =/

The ratings for Naruto have been terrible as well. It used to do 8.0% TV rating, now I'll be lucky to have a 5.0% TV ratings.

The cached version says nothing about it being the final season of Bleach...
